That tournament is next week. Anthony Rodriguez got the exemption.

My favorite is actually Kelly.  I'm actually supporting Team Liffey collectively as well.  I like 2 of the guys' personalities on that side (I think Andy--Nationwide Tour player--and the Irish Captain)

does anyone else think that Bennet is a jerk? I think it's his swagger and lack of golf talent.

He could probably beat a large majority of the players here... as could most of the Big Breakers.

I am rooting for Julien; hope he can carry on the tradition of Canadian success, and he is rocking Habs gear in the opening of the show!

I'm pulling for the Notre Dame Blonde... and the older guy.  And basically anyone on the Irish Guy's team.  We'll see if anyone else stands out as the show goes forward.  A few usually do.

Looking forward to each episode.  DVR set to record the entire season.  Don't tell the wife, but it is HIGH on the list of timers, outranking many other shows in case of a conflict with another attempted recording.

Ranking it high doesn't really make a lot of sense, since each episode is repeated a bunch of times throughout the week.  You might end up missing a show that airs only once to record a show that is repeated often at a wide variety of times.

Would like to see him and Brian play together and talk about how great they are while making excuses for their poor golf shots.

Looks like the talent is better this season than it was the last. Hopefully that's the case. I get tired of watching the competition and wonder just how the actual hell they got on the show.

Ahh yes...I know you were rooting for Carling a couple seasons ago.  Go bucks!!  She was a cutie with spunk.........

So far, this season is shaping up well.  So far it seems like the most unpopular player is "Mr. Model".......it seems everybody hates him.

I agree....about the shtick.   I don't think he's a big jerk though....he just has a big fat head and he doesn't seem to be very likeable.  LOL

I'm confused about Bennet. He definitely acts like a jerk, but at the same time he's kinda playing the game the way he needs to - as in "every man for himself". Conversely, I think Nicole is also a bit of a jerk, at least on the course.

He sure took care of business by going birdie-birdie during the elimination challenge.

    • Yep, yep, sorry. You're totally right. Brain fart on my part - as soon as I read that I facepalmed and thought about how I knew that but just didn't think at all in typing that part out. The MMR stuff was the 60s, so my mom would have lived through those. But I don't think those were anything near this level, so I think my overall point still stands about how nobody has really lived through something like this to have a history or memory. Oh, to be perfectly clear, I'm not going anywhere near anything you could describe as a "crowd" even if the word "small" is in front of it. The lines at Best Buy had markers every 10' here in Erie, for example, and my wife and I shop at off-hours so as to avoid even like 20 people in the grocery store. Fair enough, but like you even say, I don't think they were anything near or like the level of this particular case. The last one in the U.S. may have been the Spanish Flu stuff. Which I thought just now may have been 1913 (Francis Ouimet), but which was 1918 or so. So, after Eddie and Francis won the U.S. Open together. 🙂
    • You are correct and thanks for the clarification.
    • I think this might be regional. Here in NYC, in the past 20 years we had SARS, H1N1 (Swine Flu), Ebola, Zika, and even a Measles outbreak last year. Not to mention the yearly flu outbreaks. Obviously, none were nearly as deadly as Covid-19 (at least in the US), but they all raised awareness, some panic, etc. and made NYC feel, wrongly it turns out, that it was ready for a bigger outbreak.
    • Not that it matters much and I apologize as it's not really on topic but I'm pretty sure it was the Smallpox vaccination that caused the circular scar - not the MMR. I'm old enough to remember getting both vaccinations (among others). There are some explanations and examples here: Smallpox vaccine scar: Pictures, causes, and more (medicalnewstoday.com) And, for the on topic portion - I'm one of those who avoids the indoor stuff but am also very leery of the outdoor stuff, too. You won't ever find me in one of those outdoor crowds no matter how low the risk may be. For me, the risk/benefit ratio just doesn't work.
