Hi everyone! New to the forum, but I'm looking forward to contributing to the community! Here's to a successful off-season, and longer, straighter shots in the Spring!

Wait.  We're in LA.  No off-season!

And I presume you work for DoGolf.com?  I've picked up one discounted tee time already from you guys.  Love those.  The equipment deals are fine, but do more greens fees deals!

Ha, yes, you're correct...no off-season in LA! That said, I need one after the "regular" season I've put together thus far!

Yes, I work for DoGolf! Glad to hear the tee time worked out well for you. Did you play Lost Canyons?

We'll continue working on the tee time deals for you. Any other public courses you'd be interested in playing around LA?

    • Pretty similar here. 90% is way too high of a bar. I might use one club 70% of the time… but 90%? Inside 40 yards? That's a LOT. That's using another club once every two rounds, maybe.
    • Ouch!  Haha He had Brady pissed off until he holed out. And Justin Thomas. I hope he is commentating again. He's pretty funny as well
    • Like you, I use the lob wedge for almost every stock shot around the green - mine is a 58. There are occasions when I might deviate to a lower lofted wedge. Facing a lie that is sloped uphill or a bunker shot where the flag is on the far other side are the green are two examples that come to mind. Otherwise, the 58 is my choice the vast majority of the time.
    • I think you're using a different definition of "level." Their SkyTrak was in the SkyTrak case, which has feet to adjust the "level" (i.e. tilt) of the SkyTrak, while also slightly elevating it. And even if it was tilted slightly, it would only really get some angles wrong, not the amount of spin or the ball speed. I see in some comments they say "flush with" the ground, but in that case, why does SkyTrak sell a case that elevates it (and protects it)? Why not just have the Skytrak protected in the front? If the "camera window" is so small that, as one poster claimed - "If the ST is not flush with the hitting surface, the ball starts moving outside of the camera window. So the speed and spin numbers are less accurate, especially at faster speeds." - then that's an awfully small camera window and SkyTrak is selling a device (the cage) that most people should WANT to buy to protect their ST, and yet which will guarantee degraded performance?
    • 52 for most chipping strokes, 56 for most pitching strokes. Will go a club up or down for either of these types of shots, but these are my most comfortable clubs for these shots.
