I used to use Bio Trust protein because it was the cleanest I could find. That was until I found this one that takes

If you aren't eating at a surplus and putting on muscle, your strength will eventually plateau.

EDIT: How the hell do you bench 250 for 5 reps, and deadlift 250...

I don't know but that's just the way it is.  My upper body is obviously stronger than quads.  Problem with deadlift is trying to avoid any lower back injury so I try to keep it reasonable.

I been trying to lean cut for the last few months.  Eating about 2500 calories per day with 180 g in protein.  Got down to 14% body fat.  I would prefer to be around 12% body fat.  But that last 2% seems to be hard to do.

Nice bench. I've had similar anomalies where I can Deadlift 315 but barely bench 150. Like @sliceoflife said, I think it's nutrition, but also form. Feel free to post a video of your form here, there's some experienced guys to give good feedback. As for my workout, thankfully I'm strong in the Deadlift, as I had to lift a golf cart off of a curb that I thought I could clear for a shortcut. On vacation in AZ. No gym for the next few date.

My timing is impeccable! :doh::-$

Legs day on Wednesday (man do I not like legs day).  I think I've finally found good weights for each exercise as I could feel the muscles working on all of them, none of them were easy, and towards the end, finishing was difficult.

Dumbbell Squats 30 lbs x 3 sets x 12 reps
Lunges 30 lbs x 3 sets x 12 reps
One leg Calf Raises 30 lbs per arm x 3 sets x 12 reps
Dumbbell Deadlifts 30 lbs x 3 sets x 12 reps

Didn't get to cardio Wednesday so did it yesterday.  Only had 20 minutes, though, because I didn't want to miss too much of the Rangers game so did cardio during the first intermission and burned 338 calories.

For the first ten minutes I did a pre-programmed workout on the treadmill but it really didn't do much and I only burned 119 calories.  I upped the intensity on the last ten minutes and started with a 2 minute jog, followed by a 4 minute run, a 1 minute sprint, and then a 3 minute cool down jog which burned 219 calories.  I think I can consistently do this pace and see about doing it for 20 minutes next week and then, depending on how that goes, maybe 30 minutes after that.

Push day today which, oddly, I find to be the most enjoyable, and then see if I have time for some cardio.  Otherwise, that'll be on the agenda for tomorrow.

No workout today...turning one of my basement rooms into a jam room/recording studio, so destruction was my workout today. 3 hours or pulling, lifting, hammering, bashing...etc.,

    • Day 514, March 28, 2024 Quick ten minutes while waiting for the wife to come home for our trip.
    • Day 262: did a stack session. Worked on rehearsal swings during rest breaks. 
    • It's been a little more than a year since I can last remember hitting golf balls and today I just got my second cortisone injection in 11 months. I thought maybe shortly after the first injection I was going to be able to start playing again with therapy but the pain while doing my backswing past halfway just didn't subside like just lifting my hands up in the air did. So today the Orthopedic surgeon put more in the backside of the shoulder than before to address the tendon more. I'm going to try therapy for another 3 months and if I  can't swing the club without pain then I think surgery is going to be my next option.
    • I was just down visiting family in southern California and we played a couple rounds of golf. I hit my ball into the deep rough near some tree's and my cousin's husband offered me his Sim 2 Rescue Hybrid to try out. And I felt the same way, wow! I loved it, it also had a Pure DTX grip on it which I loved. As soon as I got back home, I ended up buying two used Calloway Rogue X hybrids, 3 and 5. So far I've only tested them out at the range, but I love them. They're much more forgiving than irons for me.
