Good to see you guys keepin' up with it.

I think I may try to hit the weights again tonight. Neck/upper back has felt good for over a week now...so I'll test it lightly.

I trained legs yesterday. Walking weighted lunges, leg press, hack squats, calf raises, and leg extensions. 45 second max rest between sets. My legs are absolutely smoked right now. The good news is I'm down 34 lbs since 01/05.

Switched from dumbbell training to barbell training. I felt like I hit a plateau with the dumbbells.

Bench Press

Set1 - 135 x10

Set2 - 155 x10

Set3 - 165 x10

Incline Bench Press

All Sets - 135 x10

Core

Six inches - 60s x5

Quad Extensions (individual leg)

Set1 - 150 x10

Set2 - 140 x10

Set3 - 130 x10

I quit after the quads because my left leg was just shot. I'm usually pretty good about staying patient in workouts but today for some reason I really pushed myself too hard. Stupid.

mvmac: Your workouts are intense! I love it! How have these workouts effected your swing? I can only imagine insane speed and effortless power :-P

My workout today consisted of:

-10 Minute warmup on the rower

-15 minutes of stretching/foam rolling

Deadlifts: 8 Sets increasing in quantity and speed from 8 reps -> 16 reps

- All at 150 pounds

*Focus was on form and explosive movements

Finished up with some abductor work to help stabilize my lower body during the swing.

Definitely a grueling workout!

Swing speed is about the same. One thing I noticed is that I'm more "aware" of my body, makes it a little easier to change the picture.
