Today’s workout: Shoveling 5 inches of snow that has been rained on with 1 inch of rain!

I know that feeling lol

I have a little electric snowblower. And a 3 car wide, long driveway. Needless to say the snowblower wasn't having it haha

We have one too, but only one gets to use it. The others shovel to help.

Been a while since I have posted here. I started CrossFit after the New Year and I gotta say after only two months I am already in the best shape of my adult life (almost 40).

It is just the right mix of accountability and team competition that gets me pushing myself and wanting to come back for more.

After not working out since December 8th, I am starting back this week. Did the Crossfit Open 19.1 on Monday. Going to start back slowly about 3 times a week right now

After a crazy couple of months I finally got motivated to start my fitness journey back up. Did a dumbell routine today which included:

Bench press, incline bench press, goblet squats,  biceps curls,  and pullovers. Ended with some stretching.

So excited to get going again.

Dealing with a knee sprain since New Years Eve, but finally almost 100%. Back to a 5x5 type program for now until softball/golf season starts, then I'll lay off the super heavy lifting for a while.

Been so bad about posting here lately. Did dumbbell workouts on Monday and last night with stretching afterwards. Been feeling really good to get back into the gym with some regularity. Helps that we moved to a complex with an on site gym.

I'm still hitting the gym consistently 5x a week.

Played 18 holes on Wednesday and then back day on Thursday (yesterday).  Was a bit worried about putting too much stress on my back until I get back in the swing of things so dropped weight and reps and worked on form.

Barbell Row: 170 x 6, 160 x 7, 160 x 6

Lat Pulldown: 120 x 8 x 3

Lat Parallel Grip Pulldown: 60 x 10, 65 x 8, 65 x 9

Barbell Shrug: 225 x 10, 225 x 8

Rear Delt Cable: 17.5 x 15 x 3

Calves raises.

Cindy.  Nice. Do you workout at a box or at home? I am thinking about leaving my gym and just working out at home.

At a box...I'm horrible at working out at home.  Been going since 2007.  My wife and son are good about working out at home.  They have all the Beachbody vids...p90x, Body Beast, insanity...

At the gym I push harder with other people in the class, at home, not so much.

I'm 73, have RA, and right knee and on-and-off rotator cuff problems. Had phys therapy that included a recumbent exercise bike with arm rotation and it was great. So, recently got one (an inexpensive one after searching for about a month). I am on it first thing on wake up and before evening meal. It has been about 12 days, and the difference in flexibility is remarkable! Much less tightness in knee and hamstrings. Shoulders are very good. Golf swing is improved. Highly recommended! Best, -Marv
