At 95 MPH you can play regular or stiff shafts. Golf Galaxy or Edwin Watts will be happy to analyze your swing speed and swing type and then fit you. You may grow a few more inches. Not to worry, shafts can be lengthened.

I noticed you use the Pro V1. That in itself is a higher spin ball and thus a higher trajectory. Launch angle is important for carry distance. Too high or too low robs distance. Only a club fitter can help you with that. Club head and shaft combo's are too numerous to discuss. Again a club fitter can help find the right combo for you. Your other variable is age. As you get older you will grow and get stronger so you will be wanting to periodically check your equipment.

btw that spin was with range balls but my coach will be having a look in february so i can get the most up to date possible optimum combination for the start of the season. I might consider moving to pro v1x for next year

    • I don't mind being paired up; I have met some real nice people this way. Since I end up wanting to golf and most of my friends don't play, I would just call the course and say "hi, I am just a single golfer, can I play today?", and they would just say to come out here and we'll get you out. So not usually a problem. In my way of thinking, if I don't book a foursome, I am at the mercy of the course anyway as to where and when they want to put me and that's perfectly ok, I accept that. The main thing is, I get to play!!!
    • You should get it pretty quickly. I ordered mine on 2/15 and it was delivered 2/20. They're based out of AZ, and I'm in SoCal, so the shipping was pretty quick to get to me. You may experience an extra couple of days depending on where you live. Also, if you're looking for a different shaft for it, you could always look at getting something from The Golf Works. They have pretty much any shaft you'd want as well as the PXG adapter. I believe they can install the adapter for you as well for a small fee.
    • I used to play as a single a lot (I likely will be doing this again as I get back into the game), and I don't mind getting paired up with another group. I always try to be mindful of who I'm paired with, and let them set the tone. If I'm paired with a threesome and they want to do their own thing, that's fine by me.  If they want to chat a bit, that's fine as well.
    • 92 at a fairly easy track called Toka Sticks here in sunny AZ. 4 over on 18.  No penalties today though.
    • Sounds like a busy week of golf, enjoy.  Looking forward to some reviews on those courses since I've not played any of them.
