Did a little better today. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=35.330858,-119.076069

My only problem with golf is that I am usually standing too close to the ball............ after I hit it.
In my bag

Ping G30 Driver

Ping G25 3 wood

Titleist AP2 3-PW

Edel wedges

Edel putter

Well i dont think anyone can really question Couples pick now,Tiger was on his game today. He hit some pure iron shots and drained every putt. He had  6 birdies and one bogey in a bunker that is almost impossible to get up and down from. This was a very exciting tourny and i will say with confident that Tiger has found his stride. Kuchar and Webb fought hard to climb back in there matches but just came up short.Dustin Johnson needs to call Stockton for some putting lessons because his putting was just bad.USA wins and Tiger had the clinching pt so i am all smiles.

To be honest that's poor form by the Europeans. Should have agreed to a half.

He played amazing today but keep in mind he was 2-3 so to say that because he played great today no one should question Freddy is a bit of a reach. I had no problem with him being picked but I'm not sure if he picks Bradley over Tiger the team outcome isn't the same.

Disagree. They went by the captain's agreement. There's not even a way they could have given them half a point. It would have been in violation of the rules.

If you get half a point and are obviously going to lose why not fake an injury? The matchups were set. The Ryder Cup does it differently with names in envelopes so you don't know the matchups.

He wasn't helped by Stricker or Dustin Johnson much at all. He played better than his record indicated.

I agree with what your saying picks are usually based on who is playing well. But sometimes you need to go with your gut which is what Freddy did and it payed off. I guess every year we can second guess all of the picks that are made by the coaches. Fortunately for Freddy it worked out.

Steve Pate withdrew in the 91 Ryder cup, and the right decision was made. This game we play is about sportsmanship, honour and integrity. I guess we don't see eye to eye on this, but I wouldn't want to win the Ryder cup because one guy couldn't play to defend a point. Europe ended up losing the cup and a win instead of half a point would've seen a tie.

I don't see what the Ryder Cup has do with the Solheim Cup. Again, the Captain's agreements in the Ryder Cup are not the same. They followed the rules. I'm guessing they did in the 1991 Ryder Cup as well.

I also don't see what this has to do with Tiger playing Adam.

Even 2 month ago Tiger was a heck of a lot better pick than Robert Allenby was for Greg.  Never won a major.  Hasn't won on a major tour in 10 years.  Has only 8 wins on major tours.

Baddely was also a little sketchy.  No majors, 3 wins on major tours lifetime.

And, as it turned out,  between them they won fewer points than Tiger did by himself.

Frankly, it was the Aussies who lost the cup for the international team.  They were a combined 7-13-3 while the non-Aussies were a combined 15-16-1.

Greg should have picked Vijay for exactly the same reasons that Freddy chose Tiger.  Vijay is far and away the best International player of the Presidents Cup era. And he had a bit of a bounceback year in 2011.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

Well said turtleback,Stuart to me was also  a head scratcher for me.He missed six cuts and just had 3 top ten finishes and 0 top three. On top of it all he was ranked 165th for putting per rd which isnt good considering it was nearly impossible to knock the ball close and lag putting and putting in general would be crirical to have success at Royal Melbourne.Greg also had picks that didnt make much sense and Freddy didnt say a word but only one coach made the right decision and i am glad it was our captain.
