New golf animated series : Golfers Anonymous

I'm not sure why they only posted a low quality version. That was a bit annoying. A couple of things made me grin. I liked the interaction between the prissy golfer and his caddie (I forget their names), I thought that was well done. I also liked the four segments of golfers they captured: The elitist, the grip-n-rip jock, the techie, and the plays-for-fun kid. Their personas were well represented with each character. And the animation was good (at least, it looked like it though the poor video quality :P). But, overall, it wasn't very funny. I may watch it, but I hope future episodes are better; the actual humor was the weak point. Although maybe part of it was due to the cliches, maybe after the writers get those out of their system it will improve.

I like the idea of an animated series about golf. Just not this one. The whole thing had the old “Cracked” (humor magazine for middle school boys) feel about it. Considering the average viewer for the Golf Channel is typically a golf enthusiast (and more knowledgeable about the game than the average person) this doesn’t hit the mark.
The funnest part was reading the reviews. They were obviously planted by friends and people with vested interest in the series. Nothing subtle about the over-the-top praise...

best idea about the show? the title. i thought golf channel could've went to just about any driving range and found people with better ideas. TOTAL rework if they intend on it getting played on anything other than cartoon network at 4-4:12am.

The only way this could have been less funny is to replace the essentially useless Feherty character with Dennis Miller.
