Is it acceptable to use a tee to mark your ball with? Alot of players at my old club did it, and I noticed a few players at an elite amateur event using tees.

You could mark the ball with your shoe if you want to. It is not adviced though. http://golf.about.com/od/rulesofgolf/f/ball-markers-rules.htm

You can use anything you want to make the ball. If I have a long putt I'll make my ball with a tee so I can see where it is when I look at the putt from behind the hole. Most of the time I use a poker chip b/c I can see where it is easally. I like very visible ball markers cuz I play for money a lot and walking on someones line b/c I couldn't see their mark can ruin a round very fast.

The best ball markers are not the ones you buy, they are the ones you make. I have three favorites that we have made. A photo of Char and I at a laua in Hawaii, a shot of the kids on a boat, and a great photo of Autzen Stadium, where the Ducks rule the world. Sort of interesting, all my photo ball markers are of places away from the golf course. Wonder what that means???

Are there any specific coins you're looking for? Happy to post them over if needed.

I just use a standard TM marker which is part of my divot tool at the moment. I have yet to find anything I like enough to warrant changing it.

I have an Army Ranger Challenge Coin I sometimes use - the only problem is it's a little over 2" across and like throwing a sewer cover down, so I only use it if I'm not near someone else's line.

My son has had many medical problems from birth. He was chosen by the kids wish network and had his wish to meet Miley Cyrus granted. We went to meet her in New Orleans on her movie set. He had the time of his life. During the trip he was give gardian angel coins to give to people that made his trip speacial. Before we got on the plane to come home, he gave me a coin. This is my inspirational ball mark. Does my heart good but not much help with my swing.

Im not looking for any specific ones. Just something a little different that isn't going to cost a lot (in case it gets lost on the course)

When I was visiting a client in S. Korea, we played at one of the courses there.  They gave each of us a poker chip with a picture of LPGA player on it.  Mine is one with N.Y. Choi.  But my primary ball marker is a hat clip marker that I bought at Hensley G.C (Nine Bridges) in Korea--this is the course that the inaugural KJ Choi invitational was played where Anthony Kim had a chance to win, but KJ Choi ended up winning.  Supposedly, it is the best country club in S. Korea.  Played it twice because one of my client is a member there.  It was one of the best courses I played.

I rotate through a few. my Hite beer bottle cap gets a lot of chuckles, casino chip from the Golden Gate Casino in S. Korea, 1976 Bicentennial quarter or half dollar (year I was born), 100won coin (SKorea), Thrasher magazine pin. Today I used my 1 Baht coin (Thailand) and had 25 putts! I should use that one more often!

I have a few, but usually use a Canadian $2 coin (a "toonie"). It's just the right size, flat, and colored to be visible but not distracting. I find US quarters to be too small and 50-cent pieces to be too big and heavy.

In the bag:
FT-iQ 10° driver, FT 21° neutral 3H
T-Zoid Forged 15° 3W, MX-23 4-PW
Harmonized 52° GW, Tom Watson 56° SW, X-Forged Vintage 60° LW
White Hot XG #1 Putter, 33"

I use a toonie too. I also have little wooden round markers with a kiwi on it.

I might use one of the old balatas in my shag bag - set it on the flat side to make sure doesn't roll away.

I use a mix between a Kennedy half dollar or a few US $1 president coins I got from work. The half dollars work well since it's big enough that I can see it from a good distance...and it's worth enough that I don't forget it laying around lol. I also have a few Odyssey poker chips that I snagged from some overstock Tri-ball putter covers...that had no putters to go with them :P
