My 1-yr-old daughter loves golf balls. I think her curiosity was peaked because she's seen me playing with them around the house since she was born. Add to that that they're perfectly hand-sized, and she can't think of a reason to not carry them around. She picks them up and just walks around the house carrying them. She knows where my golf ball bucket is, and if she can't find a ball she goes and pulls more out. We have more golf balls littered around the house than when I was the one playing with them. Sometimes we literally put her to sleep with one golf ball in each hand. (So cute.) A little while back she woke up from a nap and took one of the balls she fell asleep with and, in another fit of kid-like cuteness, somehow crammed it into her little just-turned-12-months-old mouth. Eventually she got to golf balls and would stick a golf ball in my mouth and laugh as I pretended to eat it. Then she'd try to imitate me and put it in her own mouth but to no avail since, well, her mouth is kind of small. But somehow she succeeded just barely enough to hold onto it this time, she was very pleased with herself. (In the pic it's not technically in her mouth far enough to be a choking hazard, she's holding on with her teeth, but it's a lot closer than I would've thought she could get. We have to watch that now.) She's not hitting the balls with sticks yet, but we're practicing throwing them back and forth. You know, so we can easily transfer the ball when she caddies for me. :-D

Great picture.

Hope the balls are new - not from the course (with possibilities of fertilizer, pesticides, and the like).

Nice though to look down the timeline and anticipate a great round together.

Hilarious - my daughter is about 20 months old and has been obsessed with golf balls for many months, there were times she would not get in the car without one in each hand, now her latest is to dump out my yard range balls and then put them back into a big milk crate i have in the garage.

My thoughts exactly, watch out for pesticides.

Cute kid.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

What a great picture!  My daughter is the exact same age--turned 1 a week ago.  I don't leave golf balls laying around, but maybe I should.

Thanks, guys. She has a small handful of dedicated indoor balls, fresh from the box. So hopefully they're safe.

Cute. :-) As long as I have this thread, here's a picture from this last weekend of her with a 7-iron. I took a couple slow motion practice swings and she toddled into the room and wanted to participate. And by "participate" I mean "hold whatever I was holding". So she did her best to pick it and move the club around...
