My homecourse in Sweden, Sand Golf Club. Great course and the photos are from the second and 14th hole.

Wow.  Beautiful place.  I don't think I've ever sen a bunker quite like that one in the hole #2 pic, though--cut into the top of a mound...interesting.

MT. Washington Golf Course....

Another picturesque place.  I like the open space around that wide fairway.  ;-)

Played The Island Golf Club in Ireland a couple of weeks ago. Supposed to be one of Dustin Johnson's favourite spots for practicing for The Open. Really nice course, just 20 mins from Dublin airport if anyones ever in the region.IMG-20180809-WA0016.thumb.jpg.94aafbe00bca6a7e66f6342308f6f162.jpg Left a review here - https://goandgolf.co.uk/courses/ireland/republic-of-ireland/dublin-region/the-island-golf-club/

This is #3 at Norvelt which is my home course. It is 336 from the pictured rock. There is a very steep hill which you can kind of see. There is really not a lot of room to miss on either side. If you miss left and the ball stays in play you are behind a tree most likely. If you miss right you can pretty much consider that stroke and distance as well. If you do get a tee shot in play, a good drive like the one I hit today with my driver left me only a gap wedge in. Of course that second shot plays uphill with bunkers in front to a green which slopes severely back to front and left to right. For fun there is also a 2nd tier that is probably 5 yards in distance back to front. If you happen to miss the green long and are above the hole it takes a minor miracle to keep the ball on the green coming back down. I have had plenty of great starts to my round go bad with a 6 or worse on this hole. Today I shot 74. Made a 5 here.

The 1st at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown PA. They hold a fairly significant amateur tournament there every year. I played it once in a tournament for high school kids in our area and again last fall with a buddy of mine who is a member. Awesome golf course. Didn’t have my A game that day but I had enough to shoot 83.

Coronado Golf Course. The picture doesn't do it justice. This course has great views of San Diego.

The 9th and 15th at Diamond Hill in Seffner, FL.  That shot of the 9th is typically where you play your 2nd shot from.  It is virtually impossible to reach the green in 2 the way the hole doglegs left over the water and uphill.  The 15th is the signature hole and the tees for white and blue are elevated.  Just a simple 7 or 8 iron, but a lot of balls end up wet.

My favorite hole, Acoma 5, at my home course Tanoan Country Club (Albuquerque, NM).

Played that hole a few times myself... While not as picturesque, #7 has always been a favorite of mine. Good drive leaves a wedge in and a good look at eagle. Right or left and you probably won't get it back. Not to mention it's hard to pick the line. Feast or famine.

Oh yes, Acoma 7! I remind myself not to get greedy on that hole - key is to stay in play. Best I have done is birdie, which I am more than happy with!

I once went out to that hole just to look for stray balls while my husband played. I picked up 15 in just one bush on the slope!

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? TIGER WOODS' AMATEUR VICTORIES YEAR WIN(S) 1984 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1985 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1988 Boy's 11-12 Junior World Golf Championships   1989 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships   1990 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships, Insurance Youth Golf Classic   1991 U.S. Junior Amateur, Boys 15–17 Junior World Golf Championships, Orange Bowl International Junior Look at some other AJGA Players of the Year. How many of these names do you recognize? A few, for sure. I assure y'all, I'm not trying to pee in your Cheerios. I just don't get what the point is. Okay. I get that, then. Thanks.
    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
    • Day 1: Spent some time hitting some balls. Working on my hips and a “soft” and straight trail arm.
