A bit poor driving today too, but better than yesterday. His irons are still a bit out of wack. He hit a couple of close ones today and made some putts, but nothing consistent. Missing a lot of greens, which makes birdies hard to come by.

This is ridiculous. Seve was a great player, but to be showing a retrospective on him instead of LIVE coverage of a major is stupid.

CBS doesn't dictate how much live coverage we get; Augusta does. At least it's about golf, and at least it's not a basketball game that will run 20 minutes long.

Nice interview from Tiger considering the end result of the round. Gotta be in a good place mentally to interview and still come across semi-happy.

Was that on TGC, or one of the live feeds?

Tiger seems more tired of his game right now than angry. He knows he can play a lot better than this, but isn't able to get there this week. He'll have to go out there the next two months to get his swing ingrained better for the US Open.

I know that brocks. It still sucks.

That's how I've always interpreted his swearing and club slamming. I swear when I miss a shot that, honestly, I can hit the way I want to maybe one out of three times. Imagine how mad you would get if 1) It's a shot to stay in contention for the Masters, not to break 90, and 2) You can hit it perfectly all day on the range

Was on Sky Sports in the UK so not sure which feed they were using to show it. :/

As an aside and totally off-topic -

I just watched the tribute to Seve & they spoke of his 3-wood from the bunker on 18 at the 1983 Ryder Cup. I witnessed that shot. I was following Seve & Fuzzy all day & when we got to his ball in the bunker, both me & my buddy Gary said he's cooked - he had a lip about 10 feet in front of him with water to carry to reach the green. He has to lay up.

He didn't. And when he hit the shot my first thought was, that's ridiculous. It's in the water. When it landed on the green, there wasn't cheering...it was more shock. I looked at Gary & he looked at me, our mouths open in awe, and we just started clapping.

I just checked YouTube & there's no video of this shot. Too bad, cuz you'd see this 23-year old punk with a 'fro right behind him when he hit it. That was me.

My club should arrange range tournaments.

9 straight pars and then a birdie is "making a move"?

    • A bit of background. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) runs an annual event known as "Team Play." It is a wildly popular match play competition where Men's Clubs across the region put together teams of 20+ golfers together to compete against other clubs in a 16 vs. 16 match. In any given year, approximately 80-100 clubs will participate. Each club is grouped into "pods" of 4, and will play 6 total matches - one home and one away match against the other 3 clubs. The winning club from each pod advances to the Team Play Playoffs - a single elimination format - until a winner is crowned.  Antelope Valley Country Club just advanced to the championship match for the 3rd consecutive year. They won the championship in both 2022 and 2023.  Based on my review of the match history from the past 3 years (linked below), they have won 21 consecutive team matches. Keep in mind, these are handicapped matches, so this is not just a case where a group of sticks bands together to dominate the poor amateurs other SoCal clubs. Even if these guys are grinders who never quit, play their best under pressure and routinely putt the lights out, the law of averages still say that a streak of that nature is mathematically impossible.  Is there any plausible explanation beyond institutionalized sandbagging throughout the club? • Day 3- Practiced putting for 20 minutes.
    • Interesting that Scottie is #10 on the all time money list and he's been on the PGAT for 4 years. Of course, purses are bigger now, but  neat to look at non-the-less.  The list of top 18 money winners in PGA Tour history has plenty of surprises This list is updated through the 2024 RBC Heritage. To add, Scottie won 4.5 million at the Players, Jack played 44 seasons and won a little of 5 million on course.
    • 43 (6 over) Couple bogies, couple Pars, a birdie and no doubles. Not bad for first 9 of the year.
    • Most the stuff I found on Instagram and just copy and mix it up. a few of my favorites: Clean>Squat>Press> March Around the body >catch >Squat> press I also hold a the kettle bell upside down with both hands on the handle. Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat
