Hey guys. I have been trying to get my swing in better shape but still having problems. I am aware of some of my problems (bad takeway, head swaying etc.) If you can give me some help I would appreciate it.

I have always struggled with a flat shoulder turn, which I think would promote head swaying? (But I'm not expert) Would a steeper shoulder turn (Left shoulder to the ground) Help? I will report back later with some changes. Thanks mvmac!

Yes steeper shoulder turn or as we call it, turning perpendicular to you address spine angle.  Left shoulder down longer is good, just another feel for what I was saying with stretching out the right side.

Also feel that you're stretching your right side from the ankles through the hips (most important) and right up tot he armpit. That'll stop the head as well.

I was only able to get out to the range for a little bit. It was very crowded so I was not able to get a FO view. How do this look though?

Sorry for the link, not really sure how to embed this.

(Might have to play it twice to get it rightside up)

I'll report back with some FO shots this weekend.

Yes definitely better, can even do it a little more.  Head moves off the "wall" a bit on the backswing.  How did you hit it?

I tried to work on takeaway and my setup (feet a little angled out) and would sometimes forget about the head movement The good ones I hit were push draws or just straight. However a big block or a hook crept into the mix

Looks good, too much would be the head moving forward, towards the ball or towards the target on the backswing.  It's not doing that, so nice work

Played 9 today and shot a 43. All irons were crisp except for 2 (1 fat, 1 block). Hitting all my irons further so need to get my distances down. Thanks for the help!

Hey guys here is an update. Took a little time off because I moved into a new apartment and hit the range only a couple times and everything was off. Tops S_ _ _ _ S thins you name it. Was really frustrated. Today was the first day I felt great. Here are some videos.

It seems like my right foot slipped out a couple times. (I do need a spike replacement, bad.) My driver misses were blocks and hooks and the good ones were draws. Much better than my old slice.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks everyone.

Just for shits and giggles this was my swing from the end of February

    • Didn’t get back to a decent routine in November and December as planned.  I really need to get up earlier and get to the 7 am CrossFit class… but I’m too tired. Right now getting in 3 times a week. Going to get some swing speed exercises in too.  January-April should be Monday - Friday, load up on supplements too.
    • “The stuff legends are made of…” 😁 As long as OEM’s keep replacing them…. But if it cracks 2 years in, you’re screwed on the warranty. the Cobra Dark Speed driver gets rave reviews.  Haven’t heard of breakage issues.  Taylormade now came out with the Qi35 heads.  Absolutely stunning but it’s a carbon fiber sole as well as the face and crown.  I guess we’ll see.
