Not sure if there is any truth to it but Here's the article

Quote:

Dustin Johnson’s management team has ended speculation as to when Johnson will return, but speculation will remain as to why he was gone in the first place.

Johnson last played the WGC-Cadillac Championship in mid-March. His agent David Winkle told CBSSports.com that Johnson will make his return from a back injury later this month at the Memorial.

The injury, which Johnson’s team says was aggravated from lifting a jet ski at his South Florida home, has led to much speculation – the loudest suggesting he was serving a PGA Tour drug suspension, which Winkle refutes. The Tour does not release fines or suspensions for recreational drug violations.

“I have heard everything from A to Z,” Winkle told CBSSports.com on Tuesday. “Dustin is not serving a drug suspension. I will make it clear – he has been injured. He is playing golf again, he is very rusty but chomping at the bit to get back out there.”

Johnson was originally scheduled to play in the Byron Nelson Classic this week but took his name off the commitment sheet before the Friday deadline.

Assuming Johnson is healthy, this still is an important summer for him. Following the Memorial he will play in Memphis, then the U.S. Open. Johnson is ranked No. 21 in U.S. Ryder Cup points.

“Obviously, I can’t wait to get back out and compete,” Johnson said in a news release. “I came into this year with some big goals, including making our Ryder Cup team, so I’ve got some serious ground to make up this summer.”

He's going to strongly deny that there was a suspension no matter what the reason is for DJ's absence. Everything else is just speculatory speculation.

They really need to make suspensions and fines open to the public. Would be great to know whats happening.

Has anyone ever noticed  a similarity between DJ and Gary Puckett - from the 60s......does that mean anything?????

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Means nothing. Lots of us have "Young Girl, Get Out of My Mind" as our ringtones.

Nah. I think there's a Union Gap there.

The PGA Tour serves the PGA Players so, while it might be nice, it is unlikely to happen.  They want to keep all matters in-house and behind the scenes.

Same reason that the PGA Tour resists taking shots away for slow play.  Because then it would be all too public for their liking.

I'm not sure if he is using any drugs, but I wouldn't be surprised. As long as he isn't using steroids or performance enhancers, I would be fine with it.

I used to play with a Canadian tour pro every once in a while and he told me A LOT of the players like to "burn it down."
