I have been trying to decide what main course to choose for a golf trip for my graduation present this upcoming year. I have been thinking tpc sawgrass, harbor town, etc... If u could think of any nice courses in the southeast I'd appreciate your input. Thanks

Maybe the Ocean course at Kiawah where they're playing the PGA this year,  plus they have four other courses there, right outside of Charleston

Myrtle beach has some really good courses, and a lot to do. Pinehurst has great courses right across from the hotel, plus great atmosphere and tradition.

Yes you can't beat Sawgrass...Played it twice and can't wait to go back. Nearby is also Amelia Island and a little further south is Ocean Hammock. All top notch!

Of course we're biased but Kiawah is really great in terms of variety of courses, location, and memorable play. Check these out and let us know if you have any questions: Kiawah Island Golf Courses . Congrats on graduation!

I have played Caledonia and True Blue, both in the Myrtle Beach area and both great courses!  A lot of great courses (both cheap and expensive) to choose from down there.  There is also Tobacco Road in NC... wow!  Never played Kiawah or Pinehurst No. 2... but they are on my list and look great.

Have a great trip wherever you decide!

just my opionn but i would go to Pinehurst before Kiawah everytime.

Driver- Callaway Razor somthing or other
3W- Taylor Made R11S
3H Rocketballz
4I-PW- MP-59
Gap- Vokey 54

Lob- Cleveland 60

Putter- Rife

Skycaddie SG5

Pinehurst is only 90 min. from my house, but Kiawah has a beach and proximity to Charleston. I'll take Kiawah........or Wild Dunes.

    • Day 312 - Better finishing position, fuller backswing, PRGR to see how swing speed was.
    • Going to a Friendsgiving tomorrow and I am bringing a no-bake cheesecake. I make the crust too big, but I think it turned out good. The filling is really good.
    • Sure, but how was your alignment? 🙂 Day 53 - 2024-11-22 Mirror work after getting back home. Wife is a superstar for her career/job/whatever.
    • I would say your back nine is the second nine you play that day. It's part of what makes getting some of those holes tougher. Or, if 18 holes are played pretty often, out of A, B, and C, and you often play A and C, A is the front and C is the back, regardless of the order you play them in. That way not birdieing C #7 isn't overcome by birdieing the easier A #7 on a day you played it C-A instead of A-C. But, at the end of the day, nobody really cares except yourself.
    • Day 128: played 9. Nice little even 9, with 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.
