Here's the updated score sheet as of this post (approximately 2:00 AM EDT July 8). Selections of players not currently in the field are not listed.

Editorial note: The highest-ranked players currently in the Open field who have not yet been selected in the contest are: Thomas Bjorn (no. 38), Carl Pettersson (no. 40), Sang-Moon Bae (no. 41), Mark Wilson (no . 42), Alvaro Quiros (no. 44), Rafael Cabrera-Bello (no. 45), Gonzalo Fernandez-Cast ano (no. 48), Robert Karlsson (no. 51), Geoff Ogilvy (no. 53), and Paul Casey (no. 59). To any new entries in the contest: if you want to look like an idiot, select Tiger at -18 with your first option (and say he'll break the Open scoring record by five shots), but if you want to look smart, use Cabrera-Bello with one of your lesser choices. He won in Dubai earlier this year, was a semifinalist at the Volvo Match Play in Spain, and finished runner-up last week on the links of Royal Portrush. Out of all the players still available without restrictions, I'd say he has the best shot at taking the Claret Jug, which is what the point of this contest is all about.

I'm probably an idiot but what the hell... I might as well do this... and I will laugh absolutely hysterically if I get this right... I hope you guys know Lytham is a par-70 this time around...

1. Tiger Woods Even

2. John Daly -2 (if he plays with smart for once)

3. David Duval Even (he won here in 2001)...

Funky little course... I mean the last 3 opens at Royal Lytham and St. Annes have been deep under par... Seve at -11 in 1988, Tom Lehman at -13 in 1996 and David Duval at -10 in 2001... but knock 6 down to a par 4 from a previous par 5... you get -7, -9, and -6... So we're do for a massacre
