I feel that Scott's choke was more the conventional method of losing a golf tournament where there was not a single mistake that we could point too, but more or less a comedy of errors over the course of many holes. Scott's type of loss is one we have seen often and will certainly see again.

Yeah. There was no shank (like Snedeker, I believe it was) or ball in the water from Scott.

VdV's collapse was clearly more spectacular.  But in the long run I think Scott's will be more debilitating because it involved mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake.  Some physical, some mental, some emotional.  Plus, expectations were much higher for Scott than for VdV.  And then the first time he has a serious chance to win one THIS happens?  Maybe he is going to bounce right back from it.  But I doubt it.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

VDV all but had it locked with one hole to play and had a total meltdown which made it an epic collapse. Scott lost it slowly and when he hit it in the bunker on 18 you knew it was over.
