Bridgestone B330 RX, Bridgestone E6 (when my swing is not quite on). I have tried others, but keep coming back to the RX. Long, straight, good spin around the green and great feel off the putter.

A friend just picked up a box of Wilson Staff Fifty Elite balls for me. I've heard good things about them, but haven't had a chance to try them out yet. Plus I really like the yellow color!

Bridgestone e6 for me.  I don't lose a lot of balls, but I still sacrifice enough of them that 4 bucks a pop doesn't make any sense.

Taylormade Penta TP5. Those of you thinking why is a 25 handicapper playing a premium ball, my home course doesn't have any water or forest, and the only thing holding me back is the fact I'm a junior so I don't hit the ball very far. Back to the ball though, it's brilliant, and I love the amount of spin, not too much like Pro V1s.

No problems here, but buy used. Because you may play on a tougher course one day and you won't be happy when five $4 balls go missing... FYI I bought a 50 pack of TM Tour balls from lostgolfballs.com yesterday for $25 with free shipping. Can't be upset when you lose a 50 cent ball that plays like a $4 ball.

My ball of choice has always been the TaylorMade TP Black. I'm down to my last two boxes. Otherwise, I have a ton of balls I got from the office which I can't complain about Titleist Pro V1s.

D:      Titleist 913 D2 (10.5, Stiff, Diamana D+ 62 / Tipped 1/2 inch)

F:      TaylorMade RBZ (15.0, 43 inches & 19.0, 42 inches, Fujikura Rombax Type-X, 75S)

H:      Adams A12 (21 degree, 40 inches, Diamana HY92, Stiff)

I:        Mizuno JPX 800 Pro 5-PW (KBS Tour, X-Flex, Soft Stepped 1x)

GW:   Titleist Vokey Spin Milled 50 (KBS Tour, X-Flex, non-conforming)

SW    Titleist Vokey Spin Milled 56 (bent one degree strong, KBS Tour, Stiff, non-conforming)

LW:    Titleist Vokey Spin Milled 60 (non-conforming, stock shaft)

I play TP5's and since TM released the Lethal, the TP5's are $25/dozen and lower.  Still not as good as 50 cents, but there's a big difference between what you bought and TP5's.

I have been regularly using the Bridgestone 330RX or the ProV1, but temperatures today were in the low 40's, the ground is kind of soft and there was a decent wind blowing, so I used some NXT Extremes that I had in my locker. Cut through the wind pretty good and carried pretty well in the cold. Approach shots ended up a little deeper than I would prefer because of the lack of spin, but I think I scored better than I would have with the other balls.

How do you like the 330RX? Compared to the NXT Extreme, how is the spin? Do you play the NXT Tour S or the older NXT Tour? What is the spin like compared to them?

I had tried the NXT Tour a few years back when I was trying to settle on a ball because I was sick of paying so much for ProV1's. The 330RX was almost as expensve, but I found it to be perfect for my swing speed. It had very little spin off the tee (read sidespin, my biggest swing fault) and still behaved pretty well in holding a green. I liked the NXT Tour as well, but I just decided to maximize what I got from a ball, so I settled on the 330RX.

I have found that the current 330RX has been drastically changed and I don't like it anymore. Not as long off the tee, and decidedly more spin. I only used the Extremes yesterday because I had a sleeve in my locker, but I only think it performed well for me because of the weather conditions (windy and cold). I am going to give the NXT Tour another shot because, two years ago, it was my second choice after the 330RX.

definitely.  i play the 50c taylormades only on the dicey holes that are narrow and have lots of water where my chances of losing a ball is high.  otherwise i play my Srixon XV.

I also bought some of the Nike 20XI-X's on sale. My favorite ball is still the Bridgestone, but the Nike is a very close 2nd. They both seem to have less spin off the tee, but spin well at the greens.

    • Agree. The next omission needs to be that ridiculous team concept. Nobody cares about a team when they really don’t represent anything except being a group of diminished morality and/or washed up pro golfers. Or wait, we’ve also got total nobodies who’ve accomplished nothing who now get a participation trophy! Doesn’t that sound invigorating!
    • LIV moving to 72 holes is a subtle admission that 54 holes was nothing but a joke all along.
    • I was going to start a thread, but this seems like the place.  Yesterday I played my matchplay match at my local club.  My opponent is a notorious sandbagger by reputation.  The pro once pulled his tournament rounds from the past several years and said that it is impossible his tournament rounds are legit based on his handicap. here is what happened last night.  I am getting 4 shots from him.  His current handicap index is 15.3 i shot 45 on the front.   Was down 4 after nine, he had three birdies and shot even par. I was closed out on thirteen, we halved with a bogey.  That bogey put him one over par for his round.   He then took a triple on 14 and then left. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he lied about his score.   I wrote down on my scorecard what the score was.  He put higher values that didn’t affect the outcome of the match to pad his score and apparently make it not look as obvious.   He shot 36 on the front, but claimed 40.  The higher values for his score were in the online scoring app our club uses.  He did it this way: I won #7. He had a 2 foot putt for par that if he made would still lose the hole.   He picked up and said it didn’t matter since I won.  He took a 5 instead of a 4 after picking up a gimme. on #8 his approach shot on this par 4 was 8 inches.  I verbally conceded the putt but I had hit into a hazard.  I finished the hole with a 6.  Instead of birdie he put in for par. on #9, another par 4, his approach was to 18 inches.  I missed my par putt and then knowing how close I verbally conceded the putt.  I missed my bogey putt, he never conceded mine.  Instead of birdie he put down a bogey. He padded his score by 4 shots on the front.  And then did again on 10.  I rinsed one and made 6 on a par 4.  I putted out and he was fishing balls out of the lake so I drove off to the next tee.  He had 15 feet laying two but claimed a 5.     love to know the odds of a 15 handicap being even thru 12 holes on a round of golf.
    • They've been chuckling since they hooked the shark. I think Greg doesn't realize the jokes on him.
