Or why not a less lofted, "strong", 3 wood, like 11 or 12 degrees?

This, along with Clambake's post, was my first though. Callaway couldn't shorten the shaft, or add loft to a driver? They couldn't take some loft off a 3-wood or make him a 3+-wood? Seems strange.

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

The message I get from this is, RBZ is the longest (maybe best) 3W out there.  This is a dream come true for TM's marketing department.

There is a guy at our club who has a son who is a caddie on the tour. He was saying the tour players are all into the RocketBallz fairway woods (the driver is no big deal). They love the added distance while maintaining the control. It must have something to do with the slot and their swing speed.

Driver: Ping K15 10°, Mitsubishi Diamana Blueboard 63g Stiff
Fairway 4-wood: TaylorMade RocketBallz Tour TP 17.5°, Matrix Ozik TP7HD S shaft

Hybrids: Callaway Diablo Edge 3H-4H, Aldila DVS Stiff
Irons: MIURA PP-9003, Dynamic Gold Superlite S300, Sand Wedge: Scratch 8620 56°
Putter: Nike Method Concept Belly 44"
Ball: Bridgestone Tour B330-S

Good point, he should join the site Yeah Abbott was either playing Switzerland or was told by someone else that it was a prototype 3 wood and just went with it.
