I can shape my teeshots like I want to. And.my.natural ballflight is a slight draw

Then go with my original advice. Play your natural shot.

Are you afraid that if you aim right that it wont draw?

If so, then i would aim straight down the center and draw it to the left side of the fairway. if not, you can give yourself a bit more draw room by teeing up on the left side, aim towards the right side of the fairway and draw it more.

Personally, i don't like aiming a place were i can possibly hit it straight, so i would tee the ball up in the center of the tee box or right side and play a draw from the center of the fairway to the left size of the fairway.

Play the whole a few times, with different ideas and see which one you are comfortable with.  One shot i like, if you feel like you hit it to far and could catch the bunker, try a high fade. Tee the ball up farther in the stance, and hold off the clubface a bit. It launches the higher, cuts a bit off the distance, lands softer. I find i never slice this shot because the ball is so far up in my stance, i would never hit it with an over the top move. So i really have to get my forward and my weight forward. I tried this shot on a dog leg left before, were it was water through the fairway. I just took a high fade over the trees, i ended up in the rough, but it was better than trying to draw the ball and if it doesn't draw its a water ball.

Hi, i recommend avoiding thinking about drawing and fading with your handicap unless you have the technique licked. Rather you should aim for  a landing zone that honestly is most like the result you get when you line up for a straight shot to the widest point of the fairway near (hopefully) a pet distance. So if you set-up for a straight shot with the club that will give you 195 yards or so then play that club. should you find yourself on the right of the fairway, aim left next time but never too far in case you really do hit it dead straight and end up in the woods. Play three balls like that  to check how each ball disperses ?? Be honest with yourself about the results. You want simply to finish near the middle of the fairway. Trying more advanced ball flights that take you so near Danger on a tree lined hole is asking for trouble. If you really need the driver for distance the grip further down the club thus shortening the length of the club which gives you a bit more control, also try and  just make a nice swing, playing for placement buddy!!!!.

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
