Odyssey sent me one of their latest putters, called the Versa and it's got some interesting visual technology.  I hit some putts with it yesterday and was surprised how many putts I was making.  Surprised because I tend to like mallet putters and don't like putters that don't have a line on them.  But visually this putter seemed to work well because I was using the cavity to line up my putts.  May look very different when you look at these pics but it's kinda cool when you actually hit some putts with it.

The model they sent me was the #1 design, I'm sure they'll have more when they officially release the putter.  I'm interested to see what the other designs look like.  Might also be different combinations.  The promo pics on the box feature a putter that goes black, white, black while the putter I go is white, black, white.

That is really interesting.  I like it!  It's pretty similar to the style of putter I use already (Ping Pal 2) so I might have to give it a shot.  (If I knew about this last week, I may have tried to sneak inside to the putting lab to try it out)

Maybe it's just a shadow or something in the photo, but on the one looking at it from the toe, it appears as though the putter has quite a bit of loft?

Oh, and the hat is slick too!

That's the topline and then the toe. You're seeing it as the loft. Look at how the hosel is rotated. The camera is close so both the leading edge and the trailing edge are going to the vanishing point on the horizon. :)

OK, got it.  Plus it's a solid blurry white so there's no depth perception. (Wouldn't have minded ... I have a fairly pronounced forward press so maybe a little extra loft would be good for me??)

To my eye, it's not like the Metal X putters, I'm guessing it's similar to some of their other recent models, an elastomer/urethane blend.  Price will probably be somewhere between $100-150.

Yes Erik nailed it and I'm happy that the worst pic I took is getting all the attention LOL  Nothing unusual going on with the loft.  You might be able to order Odyssey putters with some extra loft, not sure.

You are the luckiest person I know...companies just send you their new product to test out and write reviews. Im so envious. I like the putter...not much new to the shape but I can see how the paint accentuates the face angle. Very cool

Looks like a cool putter but will be interested to see how it feels and lines up.  The pictures give it the appearance of being plastic but the box is very cool.

This one is for the really upscale Country Clubs, huh?  (It looks like your putter is wearing a tuxedo) :)

That and for the group that hits into you while you're still putting on that reachable par 5 - it doubles down as an ice pick.

I like the #7, just tried out the Metal X version but will hold off to give this one a try first.  No Versa 90 #7 for a lefty, bummer
