Edel Golf to partner with Nick Faldo for "Faldo by Edel"

Partnering with well-known master craftsman, David Edel of Edel Golf, the duo will launch Faldo by Edel ; the ultimate customized clubs to include putters, irons, wedges and limited edition products created with individual golfers on all levels in mind.

“Faldo by Edel, is the realization of a golf dream for me,” says Faldo who is known as one of golf’s truest perfectionists. “I’ve long been an advocate of customizing equipment for look, feel and individuality. David is a precision engineer and an artist and he and his team make true one- of-a-kind equipment with craftsmanship and technical know-how applied to each club.”

“Knowing how fastidious he was as a player about equipment and performance, I was not shocked that Nick understood our vision,” said David Edel, Chairman of Edel Golf. “This is a man with huge vision, knowledge of the game, artistic prowess and insight. Together we will design practical and functional products and concepts to help golfers of all abilities to maximize their game.”

Woooooow, really? That's wild. As a big Edel fan (note my sig), I'm taken aback by this, but... that's pretty cool. Go Faldo.

I wish Edel good luck, but am wary of any pairing with Faldo.

Good for Edel. They make a great product and I applaud anything that has the chance to give them a bigger pin on the map.

I must have missed something. If Faldo has something to tell me about my swing, I can assure you I would listen.

In his book, Faldo does consistently reinforce the need for custom equipment so from that perspective, this partnership makes.

• Top Line - Narrow or Standard
• Toe Shape - Round, Standard, or Square
• Hosel Offset - Minimal, Standard, or Pronounced
• Leading Edge - Straight, Standard or Round
  Each set machined and hand ground to your exact specifications.

Thanks, couldn't find any information for left handed golfers guess they aren't there yet.  I like the shape and design of the irons but not sure about the colored dots.

The dots were the first thing I saw and didn't care for them at all. Then when I saw the level of customization, the dots didn't bother me anymore! Still think they'd look classier with the winged Edel logo on the back like the Black Cavity Backs.

I think the Faldo by Edel Line is a way for Edel to get "off the rack" goods that are semi-customized to the public. It will give him access to Sir Nick's contacts and a volume level in sales he has not before attained. Not a huge volume, but no doubt larger than previously recorded.

At first it reminded me of Zevo golf with the dots

Anyway, good for Edel, hope this helps them continue to grow.  Look forward to seeing the new stuff next week.

I am very interested to see how the irons perform. I think they are a nice looking iron. Good for Edel Golf.

so we are talking $650 an iron without Faldos name on them.....i wonder what special price with his name engraved....you are guaranteed to be a scratch golfer if you buy them
