910D2, good or bad for a 36 handicapper

I wouldn't expect the R11s to be much more forgiving that 910D2.  The R11s is newer technology but not that big a difference.  If you weren't fit for your D2 and were fit for an R11s that would likely be the reason for any improvement in your drives.  I agree with meenman, keep the D2 and get a lesson using your D2.
