Probably not at the prices whomever is selling it likely wants to get. :)

Sounds about right. Chances are the guys who pay big coin collections are sending their stuff to the CS for modifications. So it'd be more of a collectors show piece than a shop tool. What ballpark we talkin?

There are rules for newbies selling stuff on TCC. Your best bet is actually eBay. The last few sold between 2-3k... The last one close to 3. Extremely limited market, eBay gets way more eyes...

I agree with Ebay although you must know what you're doing there to avoid being scammed. I've sold a pretty decent amount of stuff on Ebay the last few years and it's a great place if you know what you're doing.

Currently Ebay seems to be swinging back to protecting Sellers more. In recent years, they went overboard with Buyer's protection and of course, scammers loved it. They'd claim Item Not Received, Significantly Not As Described, etc.....all with the hope that either Ebay or the Seller just rolls over and gives them a 100% refund or a partial refund.

1. First and foremost: if you sell on Ebay, you do accept Returns. Repeat that..........you do accept Returns. If you select that you don't, you're telling Ebay and Buyers if the item isn't what the Buyer expected, you don't want it back. Ebay will refund the Buyer their money (usually from your Paypal account) and not make them return it. ALWAYS select, Returns accepted. Scammers will move onto the next victim.

2. On items over $250.00 you must use Signature confirmation. Do not let the Buyer talk you out of using Signature Confirmation or you'll lose your Seller protection with Paypal.

3. Only ship the item(s) to the Buyer's Paypal address. Sending it to any other address will void your Seller's protection. If they give you a story about moving, not being there to receive it, etc......don't believe them. Tell them you must ship it to the Paypal address listed. They can always add one to it.

3. With an item so valuable, I would insure it heavily. If the Buyer claims that it was damaged in transit, tell them to Return it and once received and verified that it's the same item, you'll refund them.

4. Set your Seller's filters properly. Under Account tab, go to Site Preferences and down to Buyer requirements. I block these:

a. Don't have a PayPal account - You don't want to run the risk of getting a bogus Cashiers check or Money order.
b. Have received 2 Unpaid Item strike(s) within 12 Month(s) - These are sport bidders & run an item up then don't pay. 2 weeks wasted.
c. Have a primary shipping address in a location I don't ship to. - Sell to Continental U.S. Bidders only. No International including APOs.
d. Have 4 Policy Violation report(s) within 6 Month(s) - Self explanatory.

e. Have a feedback score of -1 or lower - Self explanatory.

A couple more pointers on Ebay Selling guys:

5. Always use Ebay messaging to communicate as that is the only correspondence that is considered official to Ebay. In the event of a dispute, they will review those messages. Don't get nasty or make threats in them either.

6. On your auction style sales: Run each and every bidder through Toolhaus.org           Enter their ID into the search field and click left by. It will show you all the negatives/neutrals that Buyer left over the years. Here's an example of a PITA (pain in the ass) Buyer who will bitch if their ice cream is cold.

7. Also look at their feedback left for others within Ebay. Click on their feedback number and then 'Feedback left for others'. Sometimes a Buyer will always leave backhanded positives (called 'False positives') with comments like 'Great Seller although shipping was high'  or  'Not great quality but the price was okay'. Those ones are the ones who'll leave you a 1 or 2 on your Seller rating stars and if you fall below a certain level, you'll lose selling priviledges. If you don't have a lot of sales, just a couple aholes can get you banned from Selling.

8. If you do find anyone that you'd rather not bid on your item, add them to your BBL (Blocked Bidder List) http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/manage_bidders_ov.html#block . Simply copy their ID, open the link to 'Block bidders', paste their ID in there and save it. If you add more than 1, put a comma then a space in between. I have hundreds on my BBL. Some were obvious, some just smelled fishy. Why take a chance on getting scammed..........

9. If they've already bid on your item, add them to your BBL FIRST then click on the Cancel bids link page. If they send you a message about why you cancelled their bids, just ignore it. Nothing (I repeat NOTHING) you write them will help them get over you telling them you don't want their business.

Thank You!   It is up on Ebay.     I followed your feedback on the bidders.  Not sure what to do now.   12 hours posted at  3500 or best offer 3 offers already. I may be too low on the starting point.

Not a bad problem to have!      Thank you again.    This is a great site and there are great people

You can always counter offer them as well but of course only after you've checked their feedback left for others.

How many days did you make the auction for? I usually do 10 days and start it on Thursday about 5 Pacific time. That makes it end the next Sunday evening with East Coast still up and able to bid.

I made it 10 days.  My Buy it nows I start anytime.  My auctions I start at  6 pm for the same reason you stated.    I sold a lot of things on Ebay, but I learned more from you in the 8 years I been on there. I am also glad Ebay is getting seller sensitive but they have a long way to go in the area.

Serious buyers know the actual value... so $3500 was a good BINOBO strategy. Any higher and you seem like you don't know... I'd take the first 3k offer and be excited. The fact that is says 2nd Swing on it detracts from the value since there is no mystery or mystique about origin etc.

I think it's a generic setting that Ebay uses for the Seller's protection. If they have more than 1 item of that kind, they don't want the subsequent Buyers knowing what the others paid.

I've had multiple items that I've sold under Best Offers; sometimes I get more out of the second Best offers than the first.

      Taking your dispersion and distance in consideration I analyzed the 4 posible ways to play the hole, or at least the ones that were listed here. I took the brown grass on the left as fescue were you need to punch out sideways to the fairway and rigth of the car path to be fescue too.  Driver "going for the green"  You have to aim more rigth, to the bunker in order to center your shotzone in between the fescue.  Wood of 240 over the bunkers I already like this one more for you. More room to land between the fescue. Balls in the fescue 11% down from 30% with driver. Improve of score from 4.55 to 4.40. 4 iron 210 yards besides the bunkers.    Also a wide area and your shot zone is better than previous ones. This makes almost the fescue dissapear. You really need to hit a bad one (sometimes shit happens). Because of that and only having 120 yards in this is the best choice so far. Down to 4.32 from 4.40. Finally the 6 Iron 180 yards to avoid all trouble.    Wide area an narrow dispersion for almost been in the fairway all the time. Similar than the previous one but 25 yards farther for the hole to avoid been in the bunkers. Average remains the same, 4.33 to 4.32.  Conclusion is easy. Either your 4iron or 6 iron of the tee are equaly good for you. Glad that you made par!

      Wish I could have spent 5 minutes in the middle of the morning round to hit some balls at the range. Just did much more of right side through with keeping the shoulders feeling level (not dipping), and I was flushing them. Lol. Maybe too much focus on hands stuff while playing.

      Last year I made an excel that can easily measure with my own SG data the average score for each club of the tee. Even the difference in score if you aim more left or right with the same club. I like it because it can be tweaked to account for different kind of rough, trees, hazards, greens etc.     As an example, On Par 5's that you have fescue on both sides were you can count them as a water hazard (penalty or punch out sideways), unless 3 wood or hybrid lands in a wider area between the fescue you should always hit driver. With a shorter club you are going to hit a couple less balls in the fescue than driver but you are not going to offset the fact that 100% of the shots are going to be played 30 or more yards longer. Here is a 560 par 5. Driver distance 280 yards total, 3 wood 250, hybrid 220. Distance between fescue is 30 yards (pretty tight). Dispersion for Driver is 62 yards. 56 for 3 wood and 49 for hybrid. Aiming of course at the middle of the fairway (20 yards wide) with driver you are going to hit 34% of balls on the fescue (17% left/17% right). 48% to the fairway and the rest to the rough.  The average score is going to be around 5.14. Looking at the result with 3 wood and hybrid you are going to hit less balls in the fescue but because of having longer 2nd shots you are going to score slightly worst. 5.17 and 5.25 respectively.    Things changes when the fescue is taller and you are probably going to loose the ball so changing the penalty of hitting there playing a 3 wood or hybrid gives a better score in the hole.  Off course 30 yards between penalty hazards is way to small. You normally have 60 or more, in that cases the score is going to be more close to 5 and been the Driver the weapon of choice.  The point is to see that no matter how tight the hole is, depending on the hole sometimes Driver is the play and sometimes 6 irons is the play. Is easy to see that on easy holes, but holes like this:  you need to crunch the numbers to find the best strategy.
