OK, let's try your all time LEAST favorite TV shows ....

... we've done the our favorite TV show thread ... I'm more interested in the shows that everyone else likes that we can't stand.

For me, it begins and ends with THE OFFICE ... I've tried, but can't get through more than 45 seconds of it - ever (and I live less than an hour from Scranton !!)

Runners up: American Idol; Glee; Hoarders; The New Girl.

I'm guessing my least favorite is a show I've never even bothered to watch.

Of shows I had watched and now refuse to,

1. American Idol -  The show jumped the shark when Simon left.  Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have made it completely unwatchable.
2. The Office - was a quirky show, but funny until Steve Carell left, now it's just quirky
3. Fringe - first two seasons were great but lost interest after they found the alternate universe and people started to impersonate their alters.

The problem with American Idol, in my opinion, is that it seems to be on for 4 nights a week for 3 hours a night.  I get home from work and American Idol is on the television until I go to bed.  Except when project runway is on.  At least that show is usually only on for an hour and a half.

Anything on Bravo, E!, or singing competitions. Anything reality, really. Give me a good script and I'm happy. It's those stupid normal people who are boring. :-)

I love my wife, but the DVR is filling up with so-called "reality" shows.  She records more shows than she has time to watch.  Anything with swamps, rednecks, Kardashians, Alaska, the Yukon, clothing design... you get the picture.

Same here, she is always double taping on the dvr so I have to find when my shows are replayed in the middle of the night so I can watch them. But I know all of those stupid singing shows she watches top my list.

• If a show airs on Bravo! and is not Top Chef , I hate it.
• If it is a reality show that follows around fame *****s whose lives are completely unworthy of having cameras document it if not only to stroke their egos, I hate it.
• If it claims to be about the Amish, but is clearly a farce to all but the most gullible viewers, I hate it.
• If it features rednecks doing redneck things, I hate it.
• If it portrays gay characters as walking stereotypes, I hate it.

However, the show I would single out as the stupidest, most mean-spirited, and least essential program currently on television, the title would go to MTV's Ridiculousness. If you haven't heard of it, for the love of God, please don't look it up, for you truly are one of the lucky ones.

^ It's basically just a take on Jackass ... typical adolescent guy humor. Surprised something as obviously stupid aimed at the dim witted would bother you - should have a disclaimer preventing anyone over 21 from watching it ...

the housewives shows, glee, and most reality shows.

the ONE reality show that I love to watch (call it a guilty pleasure) is wipeout!

I love watching stupid people fall into mud pits.

"30 Rock" got off to a slow start. I was pretty close to dropping shows like "The Wire", "The Office" (UK), Parks & Rec, but stuck with them and was richly rewarded.

I was meh on Veep's early episodes, but re-watched them and the 2nd time through was way more funny.

I don't hate "How I Met your Mother", but it does nothing for me. I know it's incredibly popular and Neil Patrick Harris is a great actor but just don't see the appeal.

Downton Abbey's last few seasons took a serious nosedive.

Can't stomach anything with vampires, werewolves and moppy teenagers in it.

Show whose titles are anocronyms.

Shows that are written by a bunch of writers with no plan or story arc, I can't believe how much of my life I wasted watching lost...what happened to the god damn polar bear????...ony to discover that the writers have no ******* idea what's going on either.
