Am I missing something or do you have to purchase a full week badge to attend this tournament?  I was hoping to just go on Friday or Saturday, but it looks like that isn't possible.  Is it really a week long badge or nothing for this tournament?

I know that back when I worked at the International, they were only sold for the week.  It was possible to find people who broke them up and sold individual days on their own.

I've been to the Memorial tourney at Muirfield Village GC 4 or 5 times in the last 10 years. I love that course. We have always had full week tickets. I'm not sure if they sell single day tickets. If the weather is nice, it's a great event to watch a golf at.

I checked into it, and you either buy a week long ticket or you don't go. I think that really stinks. I've been to a lot of tournaments, including The Masters, and you can buy one day grounds passes for all of them. I wanted to take my 7 year old son out there for the day, but I guess it's not happening.

What's funny is that they never sell out that tournament either. Maybe if they sold some day passes, they would get more people. Oh well.

Ticket prices are getting a little steep over the last couple of seasons. Thankfully, the PGA is taking care of members of the military - at least most of them. Arnie's event didn't - paid $40 for a practice round ticket.  Just checked out The Players. $58/day then there's $40 for parking. Getting near my NFL Buccaneer ticket prices.  Thankfully, TPC is also a military-friendly event.

Guess it's all about supply and demand.Guess The Memorial thinks it can make more sales, profits by selling weekly badges over daily ones. I'm sure they've studied their options and came to that conclusion.

As someone else said, you either buy a badge for the whole week or you dont go.  I agree that its annoying but a badge for the full week is only about $150, which really isnt that bad.  Im probably going to volunteer at The Memorial this year.

sounds like the PGA is pricing itself out of the market and will suffer down the road when kids become adults and find other sports to follow - single day kids tickets at a fraction of the adult price sounds like a no-brainer for the PGA ----have to say I think The Tampa Bay Championship last month allowed kids in free w/ paid adult.....rest of the venues need to do this, imo

A lot of the tournaments do let kids in free and some even let military in for free plus $150 for the week broken down per day isn't that expensive. It's the resellers that are making it expensive and they do it for every sporting/entertainment event. The major's are definitely pricey but again going to the super bowl or world series isn't exactly cheap either so I don't think golf will be hurting for fans more than any other sport.

They don't officially sell daily tickets like they do for The Masters and most tournaments.  So those tickets you're seeing on Stub Hub, you pay $60 or whatever, and then a deposit to bring the badge back so they can sell it to someone else the next day.  Not as simple as just purchasing a daily grounds ticket like most tournaments.

    • You all are right, its not that big of an issue, I'll leave it alone, especially after looking at that picture of Tigers beat up putter. But I also noticed the small circle worn on the sweet-spot where he hits it every time, I definitely don't have one of those. Thanks for the replies
    • Committing to one brand of ball this year - Snell MTB Prime X, the 5 doz. pack. Like how they perform for me. At $18/doz., can live with cover scuffing. Iron regripping with GolfPrice MCC+4 Teams std. in red/navy. May be retiring Odyssey Dual Force after 30 yrs. Seems like I can't get it to the hole anymore. Kind of light and has lots of toe hang. My reg. group's hounding finally wore me down.    From Callaway preowned - trying out the Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K in double wide (less toe hang) and triple wide (face balanced). Both also noticeably heavier...we shall see.
    • WOW, it looks like he has been hitting stones with that putter to put all of those nicks into it.  I can't see how a ball would cause many those dings.
    • I'm fighting a knee as well as a foot so I "Feel your pain".  Luckily for me the PT is helping at this time and I am hoping knee surgery is not imminent.  Best of luck to you.
