I did a search and saw one was put together a few years ago. Figured I'd see how much interest there would be in putting together a Sand Trap league. Would more than likely be on Yahoo. Would use traditional scoring and rules.

I'm in.. i was the winner from the league back in 2011.. it was all for fun tho, so didn't 'win' anything.

i would suggest we put up some sort of ante, b/c what happened was people stopped caring and never updated their weekly rosters etc.. it became kinda silly

I think there is a way to use PayPal through the Yahoo Fantasy League to create a pot. And I agree, bragging rights usually isn't enough to keep those who start poorly to continue playing throughout the season.

Took a year off from Fantasy Football last season and kind of missed it. So count me in.

I just set up the league on Yahoo. Need email addresses of those interested in playing so I can send invites.

Still not sure how we can do an entry fee or pot prize. Yahoo has "Pro" leagues with entry fees but they are public and don't allow invites to friends.

Standard Yahoo rules. League size will be 10-14 hopefully. Buy-in is still in discussion. Looking into methods to use PayPal for buy-ins or some other way.

All my leagues have pretty customized rules and scoring. I'll have to check and see what "Standard Yahoo" rules/scoring are. Either way, I'm in if there's no more than 14 teams.

I believe Yahoo uses the same as ESPN and many others.

25 yds passing = 1 pt

Pass TD = 4 pts

10 yds rushing = 1 pt

10 yds rec = 1 pt

Rush and Rec TD = 6 pts

1 QB, 3 WRs, 2 RBs, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF, 6 Bench spots

I'd also be willing to vote on adding a Flex spot for W/R/T instead of the 3rd WR

Yeah, I agree with the flex. All my leagues (with the exception of one) use the same starting lineups. Some have different bench sizes.

I'm also a fan of 6 points for passing TD, but not a huge issue.

What about waiver rules? 1 day rolling? Or is 2 standard?

2 days on waivers.

I like 4 pts on passing TDs because I think when you bump it up to 6 pts, it puts too much power in the QB position. You don't have WRs or RBs regularly scoring 3-5 TDs a game like you do QBs.

I'm alright with both of those. I prefer 1 day for waivers, but that's just because it makes it easier to pick up last minute players.

And as far as passing TD's, I think QB's should be the most important position in fantasy football. They're the most important in real football, and you only start 1 instead of 2 or 3 WRs. But like I said, either is fine with me.

Trust me. QBs still are incredibly important. I've played with these rules for 3-4 years now and I've often considered grabbing a top QB in 1st or 2nd round because of how big a difference they make in a team. As I'm sure you've experienced, there are games where guys like Brady or P. Manning will have you cursing the other team hahaha.
