Split grip putting

I recently started putting with my right hand lower on the putter than the left and have noticed a huge difference in my accuracy and ability to make putts or leave them close enough for tap in. My question, is this a legal grip? I don't know that it wouldn't be but in the in event that I am questioned I want to know for sure. Also, has anyone else tried this?

Should be fine, guys that use a claw grip have a fair degree of separation between their hands. I know some people who hit driver with a split grip and as far as I know that is legal too.

That's great, because my putting has gotten so much better with this grip that it is easily saving me 3 to 4 strokes.
