Has anyone tried the Mongoose golf swing?

I'm a bit bored this morning so I watched. My favorite part was around 6:10 where he talks about how you want to strike the golf ball above the equator. Then at 9:00 or so he talks about how even the top pros have problems with the conventional grip all the time.

Maybe he'll join TST. :)

It's interesting how he transposes some of the explanation for folks who are left handed. As if left handed people haven't figured out that most instruction in life is in right handed context. That and the fact that the camera is pretty aggressively moving with him. This thing a joke?

Why do they call golf "golf"?  Because all the other four letter words were taken.

Thanks for the replys.  On 18 at my home course I hit a tree with my drive and had 200 yards to the

pin.  I took out my trusty 3 iron and played the ball back in my stance and hit the top center of the ball.  The ball was about 5 feet off the ground all the way to the green but went 25 yards over the green.  The Moongoose swing must me more like a low punch shot.  I think we have to find more ways for golfer's to play better, faster because the younger generation is not taking up this wonderful game.

I haven't had time to practice the Moongoose swing but will give it a try when the rain stops.

No you didn't. If you had the ball would have been driven down into the ground. It may be a good feel or thought but it's not reality.

LOL, I love the juxtaposition of some guy meditating, ruminating, and preaching in pseudo-zen simplicity while also sitting in front of piles of junk and trash that some of which has probably been there since the early 1980s.

The end of the video disappointed me though. I kept waiting for his mom to yell from off-screen, "Hey! I told you to pick up your goddamn skateboard from the living room! Are you trying to kill me??" And then him responding angrily with, "SHUT UP, MOM!!! MAKE ME A ****ING HOT POCKET!!!!"

On a positive note, if the Golf Channel and the TV series Hoarders ever decide to team up for a new reality show, I think they found their guy.

Sorry for the double post, but I just had a stroke of genius... if you combined the Mongoose swing and the LPG swing, would the universe collapse in on itself? Would a black hole open? What would happen if you did that and used the hammer driver at the same time ?

This begs further study....
