Hello forum

I am new to this forum but would like to pose a question conerning the decision between two distinct bags.

The one ist the Sun Mountain three 5 DLX

It´s lightweight but the material somewhat feels cheap.

The other bag would be a Srixon Ogio Grom :

This bag definitely looks like an Ogio Grom, but I am not sure from wich year/season. Does anyone know?

Here I like the gadgets and well-thought pockets.

I may get both for a similar price but can not realy decide. Especially as I am not sure how to think of the Srixon/Ogio.

Can you guys help me?

Thanks in advance!

Tom, thanks for your opinion!

How about functions like zippers, materials, weight, pockets etc.? Does anyone have an opinion on that?

I would really love to know how old this srixon bag really is i.e. in which season it came out. to me it seems like an 2011 model...

Thanks and all the best!

I have the 3.5 DLX 2012 version and it is an excellent all around bag - materials are fine, pockets, double zippers, personals pocket.

It doubles a a cart bag with an inner sleeve for the top strap and cart friendly bottom. You can also fit plenty of clubs - nice top.

The hip pad is padded nicely and airy - the shoulder straps are very comfy.

And they are on closeout in some places.

This is my primary bag - when I start walking the course again, I will use a Swift X Zero G - because I like the hip belt to take weight off my shoulders - middle aged golfer wants lite weight and no shoulder pressure.

But I give kudos to the 3.5 DLX as an all around bag.

Well sunmountain stands for good stuff! My opinion it looks sunmountain has a more Decent stand, always a weak part off a carrybag

    • I would recommend spending some time at the range and film your swing. You can post it in the Member Swings thread. At the range, you can figure out how to control the driver a bit more. We can offer some pointers once you post in the Member Swings section.
    • With the H4 or the watch, you tag the club before hitting by putting the tag next to the device. The tag is on the club butt end. After a round, you don’t really think about it too much. You just do it. I don’t know how far you are from @phillyk, but he may know an instructor in your area.
    • So the biggest issue right now is marrying the hands down with an athletic turn. I can get stuck not turning. Things get interesting from there.

    • Hi everybody!  I am new to the golf game. I have taken some lessons and got fitted for clubs a couple of months ago. I usually score between 110-120 for 18 holes.  I bought a Stealth driver last year and have been hitting consistently with it 210-230 yds on the simulator. But when I take it out on the course, every drive is a severe slice!  I played 18 holes yesterday at the club where I belong. I removed the driver from my bag and used the 5 iron to drive with. I hit straight 16 out of 18 drives, 180 - 200 yds. I used the 5i - putter for the rest of my game.  I ended the day with a 92. Question: Does it make sense for me to continue playing with irons only until I get further along in my game before I reintroduce the Driver and woods again? Or should I continue to struggle with the Driver and woods and shoot in the 100’s again? To me it’s a no brainer, but for those more advanced I am interested to get feedback.
