I bought a 9.5 razr fit from ebay and it just doesn't perform. I had a 10.5 that I was fitted for and bought new but I  cracked it with one too many crown hits, so I replaced it with a used 11.5. The 10.5 is hands down the longer club for my swing but the 11.5 is close, similar feel and with in 10 yards or so of my 10.5 razr. So, clubs being relatively cheap on ebay I thought I'd try a 9.5. The thing seams dead, I lose 20 yards. I can hit beautiful high trajectory shots that just go nowhere. 9.5 or adjusted to 10.5, makes no difference. dead club, feels dead too, you can just tell that the ball is slow off the face.

Beware ebay clubs. Lesson learned.

In my bag....

Bombtech Grenade driver. 10.5* Aldila DVS60 stiff, 45"

Ping i20 irons, ProjectX5.5. 5 thru PW.

Tour Edge 3 Hybrid, Adams A7 4Hybrid

Titelist SM4 52-8. 56-12

Cleveland RTX 60-12 wedge.

Tour Edge xcg5 15* 3 Wood

Cheap crappy Wilson putter that works as well as anything for me.

It's a work in progress, I've only been playing for going on two years or so.

It could be the difference in the shaft.

Without that info, it's hard to say.

In 2009 I started playing the Callaway HyperX Tour driver with an R-flex shaft. Soon afterward, I got a chance to hit the Diablo Octane driver, which was supposed to be the Next Big Thing.

I tried hitting Octanes two different times, but it always felt like hitting a plastic wiffle ball bat. Yet, other people loved it. Maybe Razr just doesn't Fit you.

You didn't mention what shaft it has. If it has low torque, it might not feel too lively for you. Or, , it might be a fake?

Focus, connect and follow through!

I have a  Fuji EXS 6.1 that I can interchange between the heads and I've tried every combination. Maybe a counter fit. but a good one, I can't find any difference.

I know what you mean, Everybody likes the Xhot driver. I can't hit that thing at all. Like my razr, seams to be a good club for me. I demo stuff all the time and I like what I have, just wish I had not cracked my 10.5.

Have you tried contacting the seller of the club on eBay or even check with callaway and the serial number?

    • I do not follow amateur or Korn Ferry tour but this story might get me to pay attention. At age 15 to be as accomplished as he is makes me think we may be seeing a future star.  A story of him breaking out may help reinvigorate golf viewership. • Day 8: Indoor backswing work, mostly rehearsals of takeaway. Hit some balls wtih 6-iron working on adding flow, but not too Much which I tend to do, swaying too far away from target.
    • Day 55: 4/18/2024 Got to the range again today. Planned to do my priority pieces and then hit targets with irons. But after my priority pieces I hit a few drives and tugged them all hard left. .... Uh... oh boy.  So, I spent about a half hour trying to hit targets at the range with my driver.

    • OPPs, I guess I have been doing the drill incorrectly, just ignore this.  But as they say, mistakes are learning opportunities. Let’s hope I can learn from mine.
