Yea mine came with them from the dealer. I think it is a part of the rallye edition. I also got power sunroof, touch screen radio, heated leather seats, etc etc. Heres an actual picture of mine

Okay. My Dad bought this car in 1974 for $375. He drove it as his daily driver for years and I grew up riding around in this. He spent ten years restoring it himself but then never really drove it

pic ?

The second one isn't mine, but its the same color and its a bigger picture than the one I have on this computer of mine. It was for a signature pic. So sad... the one that got away from me.  I totalled it in a wreck many years ago. This picture is not the exact car but a good approximation.  1955 Chevy.  I replaced it with the 1957 Belair, and that one was nice too.

2002 Toyota Solara.  Great car.  A little small for me, but that's just because I'm big.  Low maintenance, great gas mileage.  Rides smooth.  Looking to buy a big-ol King Ranch diesel F-350 dualie in the next 10 years or so if fates align.  The nice one's are $60,000.  Those are probably really comfortable.  May take winning the lottery though.

My daily driver.......

IMG_3603.jpg

It's terrible in the snow and the HEMI isn't especially fuel efficient, but I don't care...still love it!  It turns a lot of heads for sure!!  I live in the midwest and still manage to drive 'the above' 48-50 weeks per year.  So long as the streets aren't covered in snow or ice.....it's rolling down the highway.

PS...when the streets are snow covered, it gets parked because it won't go uphill in snow. LOL  I am fortunate to have a backup option when that happens....

  • 1 month later...

Just traded in my 2008 Miata PRHTw/48k miles and a 2002 chevy Tracker w/102k miles for a 2012 Mazda3 Hatch.....because I needed one car that I could commute 60 miles/day on regular gas Mon thru Fri then haul my golf clubs to the course on the weekend.....currently, getting 32+ mpg....I am sad that I no longer have a sports car, but am a fiscally happy golfing commuter!

    • The Smiths should obviously never be allowed to play tournament golf again in their careers. Violence is 100% NO anywhere ever. End of story really.
    • Worst shot. I still lose balls almost every round, I've shot hundreds of ball OB, shanks, snaphooks and so on. I have two memories of bad shots that stands out a bit more than the rest. 1) This one happened when I played in my first ever tournament back in 2006, the Cresco Invitational at Miklagard GK (a sponsored event for business partners of Cresco). It was a stableford tournament with prices also for closest to the pin on 3 hole 1 and longest drive on hole 7. We all received a sleeve of Prov1s each before teeing off on the first tee (I didn't usually play with premium balls at that time), and looked forward to finally play a round with some fresh premiums. Hole 1 (now 7) on Miklagard back then, a 165 yards downhill par 3 with where you had to carry the ball 80 yards to clear some unplayable "salad", with a crowd, a formal starter to anounce you and the closest to the pin comp....It got to me! All the 3 fresh ProV1s ended up duffed in the "salad".....I won the event though, with a surprisingly low 35 points.  2) This one happened just a couple of weeks ago on hole 3 on my home course, a slightly uphill par 4 usually playing into wind. The tee is just next to the path players use to walk from the tee to the green on hole 2, so on this day the people who just made their approach shot to the 2nd green stopped just next to our tee, well actually 5 yards in front of it and 10 yards to the right (usually a safe place to stand) and made signals to me that it was ok for me to hit my drive. With the spectators I decided to step a little extra on it and hit it as hard as I could.....I hit the ball clean on the edge of the heel and it rocketed towards our audience, clipped the top of the bag (he was fortunately standing behind his bag) of one of them and rickochetted 150 yards into to the wilderness right of hole 2. If he hadn't stood behind his bag, that would have been really ugly....   Best shot:  This one was back in 2006 on hole 2 (now 11) of Solum GK, a short par 4, downhill, into wind, playing 280 yards with a back pin location on a very soft green. I hit my driver so clean. It landed a foot left of the hole and jumped two feet back for a tap in eagle. That was a slow motion moment for me, where I could feel my heartbeat and felt like time stood still for a couple of seconds while the ball was in the air. That feeling... I've holed out a couple of times from between 50 and 100 yards, once for eagle, but this one felt better for me.  I'm on a constant hunt for that feeling you get when you hit a perfect shot.
    • I’ve been watching a lot of Eureka . Yes I know it’s old, however, I haven’t seen it in a while so I’ve been rewatching.
    • Game 3 & 4 should be some great hockey! I'm rooting for NYI.
