Hockey Fans

My girlfriend bought me a Winnipeg Jets jersey for Christmas last year. Seeing as I was born there, I'll always be a Jets fan. Going to the games and Seeing Selanne, Essensa, and Zhamnov in the blues.

Nowadays my focus has really shifted to the Canucks. Luongo is nipping at Marty Brodeur's heels, and the Sedin twins are the best players to watch play together hands down.

I actually was at the Leafs Game in Pitt 2 seasons ago where the power went out.

Everyone was chanting "NEW ARENA". It was pretty sweet.

Yeah, he does get a lot more attention than he deserves right now, but giving this kind of performance in his late 20's is nothing to laugh at. That and the Panthers and Canucks can't score goals to save their lives.

Anybody else watch the all-star game when they had Marty Turco on the microphone out on the ice? That in-game banter was far and away my favorite part of that game.

I went to a fighting sioux game with my hockey team last year, and the fans are amazing, all the college kids are crazy and its just a fun time. the Arena is amazing. Where i live in Winnipeg there are no NHL teams, but i think there is a possibility of one coming here. Although it would prob leave after 5 years.

I am glad you had fun at the Sioux game. Englestad arena is an impressive building. The Sioux is about all Grand Forks has, so we are quite rabid about our college hockey. It would be nice to see Winnipeg get a team again, I had some fun going to Jets games when I was younger. It was a shame that the Jets & Nords left Canada.

Red Wings. I have been a huge fan since the mid 80's when Steve Yzerman began the turnaround. If the NHL would just do the right thing and put them in the East where they belong, all would be good. The fact that they only play Toronto and Montreal once a year is ridiculous. The travel schedule for the playoffs sucks. As a fan, I end up watching games that start at 10:30 PM and go until 1:30 AM. This blows when I have to get up at 6:00. The teams in the East never change time zones during the playoffs. I keep hoping that one of the teams in the East moves out West so they can make the change. The problem is that the Wings are the best draw in Hockey and the West needs their help.

Not sure you can say hands down when you have the likes of Crosby & Malkin skating together. I saw them play live vs the Flyers and they are pretty amazing together.

I feel for you. As a Wings fan, I hate the Blackhawks, but it's a shame that the ownership has let such a great franchise fall as far as they have. I really would like to see them come back. I miss the old Norris Division days when it would be a war each time they played eachother.

Well, I've seen Patty Kane, and Akim Aliu (2007 1/3 draft picks) play multiple times and they are sick, so things may be looking up.

No doubt that years and years of piss-poor performance and early draft picks should lead to some talent, but the Chicago Blackhawks will never be a great team as long as Dollar Bill Wirtz is in charge.

We have an integrated household. We have season tickets for the Columbus Blue Jackets and a partial season for the Flyers. Man it takes a long time to go from central Ohio to the Wachovia Center.

hey...I have a partial Flyers season ticket package myself....11 Saturday plan in Sect 223 r14.........great seats mid ice........should be getting them in the mail anyday now
