I have seen number of times that a perfect stranger gives unsolicited tips on golf swing, putting, etc. in field and range.   Some are sound tips but others are just nonsense.   What were some bad ones you got?  good ones?

A few mentioned to me a tip about hitting one club longer when going across a body of water.  The explanation was that water's gravity pulls the ball downward.   I don't think so. Some of us occasionally hit short whether there is a large body of water or not.   The last time I check my physics, ground & rocks weigh more than equal mess of water.

I had a guy tell me once that I dont turn my hips enough and thats why I block it to the right sometimes.  He claimed that coiling doesnt matter, its all about how far you can turn your hips.
