NPR nor the drop point can not be on green:

Quote:
The nearest point of relief must not be in a hazard or on a putting green. When the ball is dropped within one club-length of the nearest point of relief, the ball must first strike a part of the course at a spot that avoids interference by the immovable obstruction and is not in a hazard and not on a putting green.

Is it correct to say that when your ball lays on a green and relief is being taken, that you always place the ball as near as possible to the original spot?

Relief from unplayable?

Note that interference by an immovable obstruction or abnormal ground condition on a putting green includes line of putt (only when your ball lies on the putting green).  In this case, the nearest point of relief does not need to be on the putting green.  If the nearest point of relief is off the putting green, you still place the ball at the nearest point of relief (the one club length is not applicable here).
