Does the PGA test for adderal?

I was just wondring. I know in theory its supposed to help with focus and there was a big issue with the Seattle Seahawks big corner backs using but I wonder if it would improve focus as an added advantage on the golf course. Anyone familiar with PGA doping rules? I know they test but I wonder if tts narcotics only.

I don't have the anti-doping manual in front of me but Adderall is an amphetamine, so I strongly imagine they do. It's definitely not "narcotics only." Also, I believe the story with the Seahawks guys was that they said it was Adderall they tested positive for, but they NFL doesn't release the actual test results to the public, so we're going only on the word of the players. EDIT: From the PGA Tour website: I think that amphetamines would fall under "stimulants."

This should now be on the top of the list!

But really, the "electrolytes" in Gatorade is really just dissolved salt that replaces the salt you sweat out during exercise. An electrolyte is simply something that, when ionized (dissolved) in water, conducts electricity. You could get that same salt from other sources such as beef jerky (my favorite), crackers, french fries, or anything else that has salt in it. Gatorade, however, has the benefit that it delivers the salt through something you'd drink anyways as well as encouraging you to drink more since it tastes good. That and a couple vitamins minerals that they add to the drink, which wouldn't likely provide a noticeable performance difference. The real difference is that instead of having to eat something, you get the salt through something you're going to drink plenty of anyways which ensures that you keep enough salt and water in your system.

Really Gatorade is just flavored saltwater with some vitamins and minerals, which seems much less exciting when you remove all of the cool words that are on the bottle.

On a drug test Adderall gives you a positive "Amphetamine" test.  Without a prescription I would guess that's trouble.
