I had a 52 inch HDTV which was cool for games and watching golf. Basically the thing is obselete garbage compared to LCD. Which im pumped to play xbox360 and watch golf on.

Do you have one, any recommendations? Looking for best quality cheapest price.

In my house we have a 47 inch HDTV. But like you said in your opinion they are obsolete, but cheap none the less.

I bought a 37 inch Philips LCD this past Christmas for the wife I love it, but I'm not into the high end video and audio. This one works great for me.

Actually, the wife does watch a lot more TV than I did so it really was for her, however I love watching golf on it on the weekends when I can steal the remote. The HD really does make the contours of greens stand out.

42" Samsung plasma. Its fine enough. I watch minimal TV.

I finished my basement 4+ years ago and went with a 65" Mittsibushi HDTV. Unfortunately at the time plasma was about $350/inch and my wife was not going to let me spend $20k on a TV. It does a nice job with the HD programs and DVD's. I also use component video for my PS2 so the quality is good. It just kills me though to see the LCD's of similar sizes selling now for the $3000 I spent. The TV itself is just too big to move and I built the entire basement around it.

I've got two HP 42" Plasmas and a Viewsonic 37" LCD. They're both great, and I got pretty good deals on them all.

I just went through a month long search for the best LCD I could find. I ended up with the Samsung LNT4661f which I absolutely love. Below is a picture of the TV (that is Tiger on the screen at Bridgestone).

My Samsung is 46" and will run you about $2,200 bucks at Circuit City (may be able to find it cheaper online). You can get the same TV in a 40" for around $1700. I also liked the Toshiba's which were a little less pricey, but I couldn't find many reviews of them online. Unless you are totally set on a flat screen, you could also check out the rear projection LCDs and DLPs. They are still pretty slim, have good picture quality and cost weigh less than flat panels. I'd also recommend checking out CNET.com's HDTV World at: http://www.cnet.com/4520-7874_1-5102926-1.html and Crutchfield's website: www.crutchfield.com . Both have good info on the various features of each TV. Good luck, hope this helps.

I have a 60" rear-projection LCD (Sony). My wife and I wanted a large one because our great room is pretty big, and we were going to put the TV in a corner, so the 24" depth of the TV didn't matter too much.

Couldn't be happier with it.

If you have the room for it, the projection TV's are so sweet.

I'm very happy with my Toshiba 52" Rear-Projection DLP. I got it for a good price and it looks great. I don't get anything with 1080p because at the viewing distance I prefer for that TV size you can't tell the difference between 1080p and 720p. Plus all 360 games are natively 720p and that is mostly what I use my TV for.
