Ford   Vs  Ferrari.  Birdie.  I don’t find racing that interesting, but every once in a while one of these movies comes along that I’m totally entertained with.

Agreed!

We are starting to watch the last few James Bond movies in prep for the new one that comes out in November (I know...).

We've watched Casino Royale which is my favorite Dan Craig Bond movie (tap in birdie),  Quantum of Solace (6' birdie putt) and Skyfall (par).

Greyhound.  Lip out eagle.  Great movie as most Tom Hanks movies seem to be.

Athlete A, a documentary about Larry Nassar.

The whole time I was ill, so I have a hard time really accurately rating this movie. I want to give it a quintuple bogey, because I can't separate the subject from how well it was covered. I also want to give it an albatross, for the bravery (and it's sad that it requires bravery) of the women who came forth and told their story.

So I'm just going to say I played it, and I recommend others watch it as well.

Hamilton - I don’t give out eagles often but this was terrific. I’m not much of a rap fan, but this was perfectly blended with rap and phenomenal singing. All the actors were excellent. There was humor and drama. Really excellent musical.

Greyhound - par. I was interested in the cat and mouse bit between destroyers and subs, but that part was a bit muddled, not exactly sure what was going on during some moments. And why they maintained radio silence and only to break it soon after. I suspect if I played one of those online multiplayer war video games, I would have learned a lot more.

I found Greyhound to be a bit of a mixed bag.  I really enjoyed the tension during the battle scenes, but the more quiet moments felt like big parts were missing from them or left on the editing room floor.  To me, they seemed slightly incomplete.

Also, RIP to one of my childhood crushes Kelly Preston.  Gorgeous lady, and I wish she would have made more movies over her career.

I rewatched bits of Greyhound, looked up all the navigation and naval terms I did not know and learned a lot, radio communication, navigation, naval warfare, the German navy and the US navy, encryption, and read up a little about today's subs. Between this movie and Midway, got a bit of a history lesson. I still have no idea whether when they shoot torpedos out of a sub, whether there is a wire connected to it for communications purposes though.

Double eagle. I had problems with Bales character at first but then watched a documentary and realized the manners was actually quite spot on.
Racing scenes as usual didn´t look all that great from a simracers perspective.

Last movie seen was midsommar. Swedish horror movie. Weird enough to work quite well. Par on a demanding par 4!

I don't think so.

Netflix's The Old Guard - par. John Wick action but with old souls and contemplation on existentialism.

I must say, I wasn't sure if this would be any good.  But it turned out to be a great movie.

Definitely a tap in birdie.

Watched almost all of the Studio Ghibli movies since they’re now on HBO Max, like 15 of them. Favorites are My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, all eagles. Have watched these many times before but some of them only the dubbed version was available to me and it’s nice HBO made available both subtitled and dubbed versions for the whole collection.

King Arthur (2004, Clive Owen), par. A very "different" King Arthur story, completely fake or something, but supposedly also somewhat realistic. The story was fairly simple, but the fight scenes were good.

Happy Gilmore. Double bogey not better then I remembered. I watched some Sandler movies I enjoyed. But in a way it foresee which direction professional golf has headed 🙂 Would that hockey putter be deemed legal if it had a straight blade?

Do I now dare to rewatch Tin Cup again? It would be quite fresh don´t remember a lot about it.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
