The soundtrack is quite mesmerizing, isn't it? Some of the people she talked to on the streets from the truck - not actors, had no idea they were shooting a movie.

Just reading a review that pointed out that the music playing during all of her "harvests" is the same that plays at the end with the logger.

The Imitation Game - the birdie putt lips out and a tap in for par.

Incredible story.  Good acting.  Close to being really good.

I watched Under The Skin as well. I'd give it a par. I liked it, and the unanswered stuff ( motorcycle guy, elephant boy surviving) didn't bother me too much. Very dark, very vague. The bit with the two guys in the water? creeped me out a little.

TCM showed Guess Who's Coming To Dinner last night so we watched it again. Eagle.

One of the best movies of all time, and could have been made in ANY era and still been entirely relevant (with a slight tweak to the dinner guests, obviously ;))

Regarding the above scene, from IMDB:

In the scene near the end where Spencer Tracy gives his memorable soliloquy, Katharine Hepburn can be seen crying in the background. This was not acting: she knew how gravely ill her longtime lover was and was moved by his remarks about how true love endures through the years.

Spencer Tracy died 17 days after filming was completed.

Katharine Hepburn never saw the completed movie. She said the memories of Tracy were too painful .

I liked the scenes w/him and the Commander smashing heads. Plus I geeked out seeing the machine at work and the code breaking scenes.

Mark Strong always good playing a spook.

ahh yes.. that ending was very strange wasn't it?  I mean who the hell thought that ending up, and then people reviewed it and said.. yeah, that looks like a good ending?

don't want to give anything away, but I think they could have also spent some time exploring her powers more, even though she was on a time limit (which was a stupid constraint in my mind)

Michael Fassbender, Maggie Gyllenhal, the kid from About Time. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, very eclectic, but I enjoyed the goofiness, humor, music and seeing the creative (or not) process at work.

So @nevets88 , I watched both Coherence and The One I Love, both were birdies. Loved Coherence, the weirdness of the situation was way nerve wracking, and then the wife loved The One I Love, I did too, the ending was great.

      I have a putting mat in my office. It's 9 feet long almost 4 feet wide. I've drawn a line down it in order to practice hitting my line and stuff. Works fine for what it is.  While I'm not a fan of lining up a line on my golfball for every putt. I think for practice sessions it can have a lot of value.  To me this product makes sense.       Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.

      Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group.
