Read that book.  Creeped me out big time.  The guy (Stephen King) is a freak. He has to be in order to come up with such scary books.

Big time creep out book.

I grew up about 5 houses away from where he lives in Bangor Maine, although he didn't buy the house until I had moved across the river to Brewer.  You would run into him and his family from time to time all over the city,.  Most times when you would see him, if you didn't know it was Stephen King, you'd think he was a homeless person.

I saw a picture of him.  Nothing like I have imagined him to be.  He looks like, to put it bluntly, a geeky nerd.  But one hell of a story teller.

My Aunt and Uncle were in his class at U Maine. They said he was a bit odd in college.

I guess that is not surprising given his imagination.  He is a very good story teller, I must admit.  However, his movies have not done well - except may be one.

Good sir, I beg to differ.  The Green Mile, Stand By Me, and The Shawshank Redemption are very good films.

I almost fell asleep watching Ghost in the Shell, go watch the original, forget the whitewashing, it's just bland and boring, no matter who you put in.

The original anime was haunting. I've no interest in seeing the remake, i.e., big budget CGI-laced plebeian trash.

It's interesting the term "whitewashing" has become part of the cultural zeitgeist (and here I thought my teenage daughter came up with that on her own).

Americanized versions of foreign films are usually crap. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo comes to mind as on such example. However, America still has (arguably) the very best filmmakers in the world. I recently watched Nocturnal Animals and I enjoyed that very much.

I stand corrected.  Didn't realize some of those movies were from his books.

Everything Is Sadder with The Leftovers Music...LOL.

I like that show a lot but it's too funny that when my wife asks me what I watched I always tell her I'm watching "the depressing, I almost want to kill myself show tonight."  I was a big Lost fan and give anything Lindelof is involved in a try.

Fairways and Greens.

The Nice Guys - Par. Surprisingly good even though we never heard anything about it. Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. Gosling did a great job as the comic relief.

    • Committing to one brand of ball this year - Snell MTB Prime X, the 5 doz. pack. Like how they perform for me. At $18/doz., can live with cover scuffing. Iron regripping with GolfPrice MCC+4 Teams std. in red/navy. May be retiring Odyssey Dual Force after 30 yrs. Seems like I can't get it to the hole anymore. Kind of light and has lots of toe hang. My reg. group's hounding finally wore me down.    From Callaway preowned - trying out the Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K in double wide (less toe hang) and triple wide (face balanced). Both also noticeably heavier...we shall see.
    • WOW, it looks like he has been hitting stones with that putter to put all of those nicks into it.  I can't see how a ball would cause many those dings.
    • I'm fighting a knee as well as a foot so I "Feel your pain".  Luckily for me the PT is helping at this time and I am hoping knee surgery is not imminent.  Best of luck to you.
    • I would guess putting grooves in it might make it non-conforming. I am not sure how stringent the USGA is on restoring golf clubs.
    • If PT doesn't work, then all other options (shots) are just temporary bandages of the pain. You may do more damage. Pain is the bodies way of telling you to STOP. Once you get rid of that, you are just now using an already damaged body part and put more stress and strain on it.
