Hello to everyone,

I have only played golf in Thailand and all golf clubs here provide a nice female caddies which will make you a good company, keep you relaxed and help you keep your clubs clean at around $10 per 18 hole + $10 tip. Now i am planning a vacation in California and i was told that you can not get a caddie like this there. is this true?

Majority of caddies in the USA are male.

Professional caddies at upscale clubs often get $80 a bag + tip, and usually carry double (two bags). Not sure what the resorts offer.

You should contact the courses you plan to play and see if they have caddies. Many courses do not have caddies available.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Make that most courses (public access courses anyway - some higher end resort courses may have them available, often by prior arrangement).  I don't know a single person who would be willing to double the cost of a round of golf to have a caddie.  I wouldn't.  I have a GPS, and that gives me as much information about a new course as I really want.  I can wipe my own club after a shot.

Depends on where you are playing. Most courses (public, anyway) do not have caddies outside of the very high end public courses, like Pebble Beach. A lot of private course offer caddie services, but not at that low of a cost. Depending on where you are, caddies can really add to your experience at a great golf course (while also adding significantly to your cost). I would never play a top golf course without a caddie, if they are available.

If you are dead set on a female caddy and don't mind paying you could try sites like caddy girls.  I have never used any of these sites and don't know if the girls know anything about golf...

It's unlikely you'll find a course that has an abundance of female caddies outside of Vegas or a specialty golf courses that specializes in that.  It's even more unlikely you'll be able to hire the services of any caddie here in the states for less than $35 for a forecaddie and $50 for a caddie that carries your bag plus tip.

If you require female companionship you're better off going with MEfree's suggestion or calling an escort service.

Seems you have some first hand experience so don't leave us hanging.  What do they know about, if it isn't golf?

They're big into the.....um....... companionship and relaxation that the OP initially referred to. ;-)

Ok, true, but not (generally) quite as sordid as it sounds.  In general they'll carry your bag, tend the pin, tend to your food and beverage needs, and pretend to be appropriately awestruck by your mastery of the game.....no matter how bad you really are.  It makes for a very pleasant round of golf, truth be told.  Just don't look for help reading a green or getting a yardage to carry that greenside bunker!
