Didn't answer the poll, since you didn't include my answer.  I don't talk to my ball.  Just never got in the habit.  I talk to myself sometimes while the ball is in the air, like "Come on, hit the damn ball!" or similar, but that's about it.

I talk to my ball in the car on the way to the course. Sometimes it cries.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

I don't talk to my ball except maybe, at times, when it begins to fade.  You know you can talk to a fade, but draws are as waste of breath (yes I know Lee T. said this first but I like it).

Anyway I don't really ever talk to my ball but sometimes my ball has me talking to myself.

Sadly, we're lacking a "ha-dump-bump" smiley.

That would be incredibly handy. Maybe a little snare drum or something. Or a Fozzie Bear icon. :-D

I want to change my answer from after it has stopped to while it is in the air.  After some reflection, I realized that I do sometimes coax the ball while it is in flight ("Come on, baby, get over the trap, GET OVER THE TRAP!)  After it has stopped, it would be more like I'm cussing myself (quietly of course!) since it isn't really the ball's fault.  Most times I just watch the ball flight in stunned silence, then cuss myself under my breath as needed, which led to my poll answer.

My ball and I are no longer on speaking terms. My DT Solo caught me (in a moment of weakness) looking at pictures of the E6 on the web. I even tried the "really, it's not you, it's me" line but it was too late, the damage had been done, and we've decided its best for the children that we part as friends now rather then drag this out any longer. What can I say, but I've always had commitment issues when it comes to long-term relationships and just not sure my old ball understands me anymore...HAHA!

"Stay There"

"Be Right"

"Come Back"

"Keep Coming"

"Hang On"

"Go!"

"STOP!!!"

"Get Down!"

"Get Up!"

"Be Nice"

"Sit Down"

These are but a few of the choice phrases that my ball and I use to communicate.

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

Did he do any of these things? • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
