Would you ride the Golfboard?

My point  is that I don't care what others choose to do, and never have.  It makes no difference whether or not they are capable of walking.  It's a simple case of free choice.  If someone enjoys the game more by kicking back and riding, that's fine

This looks awesome, I would love to try this out. I enjoy the fact that you it keeps you active through the whole round. I don't see it as something that will replace the golf cart though. To much liability and unfamiliar users are at a higher risk of putting it in the drink.

Needless to say, I would definitely use it if it was affordable.

It really is kind of sad that with any new product that comes on the market (not just this one) the first thing that we all think of is how it won't work. Too much liability, going to cause injury. We never used to worry about these things as kids! If something looked cool we wanted to try it broken bones be damned! Too many lawsuits from too much spilled coffee has made life pretty boring these days. Nice to see some outside thinking on this product. Stop worrying about how it's going to hurt you.

golf courses will opt for the stand up bag holder with the stabalizing handle.  this gives the rider something to hang onto to aid in balance and steering

I see a future where golf designers along with a traditional course might have a 9 hole track that is part terrian park part golf course

I still think this is a horrible idea, especially with all the stupid driving people do in golf carts... The potential for injury with one of these is pretty high. Now, I do think it would be cool to buzz around the neighborhood on one of these though. However, for the price you guys are quoting it'll never happen, much more fun things I could spend that much on.

Same, golf as exercise wouldn't do much for me. If I sweat it's a hot day not due to exertion. I suppose it depends on course design but I wear a pedometer, the difference between walking and riding where I play isn't as vast as it seems. Walking offers a straight line through the course. Getting in and out of the cart walking from paths to tees and greens doesn't. A walking day and a riding day for me is difference of 2500 hundred steps +/-. While that sounds huge it's not. If I walk around the block at work it's about 1800 steps.

[/IMG]Today I got the chance to ride the golfboard @National G.C in Las Vegas,NV for 9 holes (had to go to work) 9 holes took about 3 hours due to being a full comp day for casino hospitality industry. Anyhow, I didn't plan on riding the board but the course were running out of carts and the board was free ($15 for 9 or $20 for 18 holes) National claims to be the only course in the nation to be renting the golfboard. You have to watch a really boring video, then show the cart guy you can ride one, at first I thought it was hokey but actually came to really enjoy the experience. The only rule was no riding directly on the greens or in. the T box. It would Really shaves off a lot of time under normal course pace of play. The only thing is you are a tall standing lame duck if a ball comes your way lol. I recommend trying it out if you're here in Vegas
