There is some good information in it and some that, well, is a bit humorous. :) If you wan't to believe it, this is the secret. ;) That and holding off the right leg from straightening in the backswing by setting the right foot up perpendicular to the target line. :D I'll just say, it was fun to read.

Just finished Insanely Simple: The Obsession That Drives Apple's Success by Ken Segall. I don't think he's the greatest writer, but it was pretty interesting.

Lot of repeats of things. But a quick read.

I am about halfway through "Lord of Chaos" in the Wheel of Time series.  I again have to thank @Ernest Jones for recommending this series.  These books rank up with the best books I have ever read.

While I do feel that Robert Jordan (the author) can ramble on a bit at times, his plot building is excellent.  It is also unpredictable.  So many good sub-plots going on at once keeps it very interesting.

Finished Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian not too long ago.  So freaking good.  Definitely dark and gory at parts, but beautiful... if you know anything about McCarthy's writing style (he also wrote The Counselor , No Country For Old Men , All The Pretty Horses , and others), you won't be surprised.  It's set in the Old West about an outlaw "Kid" that gets recruited to be a scalp hunter for the army, then turns outlaw again, there's a maniacal preacher... crazy stuff.  can't explain it, but definitely check it out.  It's not the easiest read, but if you like a great story and great writing, you must check it out!

Compelling, interesting read. A lot of information about how the brain works and how our immune system can sometimes turn on us. I read it in two evenings.

Just read The Most Dangerous Animal of All , a new release by a guy who claims that his biological father was the Zodiac Killer. It was a fairly quick and interesting read, though the actual evidence was light (which the author somewhat puts on an alleged coverup by the San Fran PD). He calls the book a memoir in the intro, which was certainly true (probably more so than I would have liked). It was a worthwhile read nonetheless.

If anybody like historical fiction check out The Eagle Series by Simon Scarrow.  Its 12 books (Im on 10) and covers a lot of interesting parts of Roman history.  They are all very easy to read and not all that long.

    • Interesting discussion. Consider this; we spend 95% of our open eyed life perceiving everything in a front view. That's what we are/become good at. Our eyes/brain don't develop an accurate  sideways aiming system. Plus our perception 'bends' based on shape of the hole, slope, etc. Anyway, I pick a spot 5 feet in between the ball and target and set up my toes parallel to it. That's it. From 150 yards out Im off by 2 feet. Big whoop. You can try to compensate for it, but unless you are good at changing aim in 0.01 degree increments, chances are you will overcompensate.
