Anything can happen, but I fully expect the two Aussies to dominate.

I was hoping Graeme and Rory could have been the Irish duo but cheers to Lowry for stepping up.

I didn't realize that Royal Melbourne was pulling back-to-back hosting duties, with the Australian Masters last week and now the World Cup. The commentators are saying the weather is much hotter, and the fairways and greens playing firmer, than last week; we'll see how the course holds up. If anything, it will give an indication of what Pinehurst will be like during the Opens next summer. Odd format; the countries aren't playing together.

In my UnderArmour Links stand bag...

Driver: '07 Burner 9.5° (stiff graphite shaft)
Woods: SasQuatch 17° 4-Wood (stiff graphite shaft)
Hybrid: 4DX Ironwood 20° (stiff graphite shaft)Irons/Wedges: Apex Edge 3-PW, GW, SW (stiff shaft); Carnoustie 60° LWPutter: Rossa AGSI+ Corzina...

The greens are RIDICULOUSLY firm right now. Everyone is having trouble with getting approach shots close to the hole. Bugs look like a nuisance too.

Poor Adam Scott shoots a 9 on one hole...

This is also the same course where they played the Presidents Cup in 2011, right?

The greens look ridiculously fast!

Looks like Jason caught fire and is now -8  Matt K is at -6, USA is 1 up so far.

They commentators were talking about the 1 to 11 all night last night and I couldn't figure out what the hell they were referencing too.

LOL

now I know.

That's hilariously crazy and sad :loco:

Well they haven't been dominating but they've taken the lead with Jason Day's amazing play. I think he'll cool down a little bit tonight and Adam Scott will carry some of the load to an Aussie win!

as of right now.

AUSTRALIA -11

USA -10

JAPAN - 4

DENMARK - 2

etc

And I was so excited about the USA's lead too. C'mon guys, finish the job. Didn't this tournament used to be over Thanksgiving weekend, or am I thinking of something else?

Not looking good for the mericans right now. Day and Scott are combined 16 under, while Matt and Kevin are 9 under. They have 8 holes to play..

Go USA

Kevin dropped a shot on 11, so now we have -16 to -8...meh...:(..

If only Scott could have back that 9 from Thursday ... And that story about the guy making 11 is even more surprising when you find out the dude was in a green side bunker in 2! "Obviously" this proves the short game is waaaay more important than the long game. ;)

What a great tournament on a fantastic course. It is nice to see a course that tests all of a golfers skills instead of the bomb and gouge fests that so many of our US PGA events have turned into.

I stayed up late to watch these last two days.  Great tournament.  Happy for Day's win - he's had a rough bit lately.

Lots of "coulda shoulda's" in this one.

too bad Streelman couldn't have held on for a couple days - US team was in contention once Kuch found his game (great play)

give Adam a bogie on Number 12 on day one and he wins - If he keeps up this great play for a long stretch, he's going to blast lefty and tiger out of the way.  Maybe my favorite player right now.

the Fanatics were fun, then kinda just there, then annoying, then really annoying - I still like them better than the lazy shouters though.  I think Day genuinely enjoyed that short group celebration after 18 with them.
