It's raining...how do you guys do it???????????????

I live near San Diego...golf 4 or 5 days a week year round...today it's raining and I'm staring out the window thinking about a wasted day. You guys back East that have real winters with snow...how do you do it?????????

Yeah, it kind of sucks. But I have other interests. If I had year round golf weather, I'd probably give myself breaks from the game anyway. It's kind of nice to get away from it for awhile. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I catch up with other sports and wait until around January, when I can't take it anymore and start trying to get on anytime there isn't standing snow. The only thing that I dislike about taking a bit of a break is the fact that I have a bit of catch-up to do each spring before I can begin to improve again.

Agree with the above posts...I just throw on a rain suit and play when its raining.

In the cold, I use UA ColdGear base layers (pants and shirt) and then layer on top of that.

When the ground is frozen and the course is closed, I sit around and curse myself for living in New England.

Rain gear and rain gloves.  If it is 50 degrees or more, it isn't so bad.  40s and rain is a bit chilly.  Funny thing is that I picked up rain gear last year and have not had to use it much.  We had a pretty dry year on my golfing days.

Haha thanks! Seriously it's 46 and raining right now and I'm thinking I should have taken off work to play, so the OP will get no sympathy from me.

Travel. I go to Florida every December and play around 5 times when I'm there.

If I was able to play 4-5 days a week in San Diego, I would put up with one day of rain every so often. But as that ISN'T the case, I play if it isn't too bad out or visit the heated range nearby. Then I make a Florida trip sometime in March to get a head start on the year.

This post only perpetuates our SoCal spoiled image ;-)
