I currently use a TM RBZ 10.5 with stock shaft stiff. I am not a big hitter at all. In fact 215-225ish is about my limit. My goal is to be able to hit more fairways and not have to worry about my slice. I understand a better swing would help no matter he driver. I have my RBZ set to upright lie and it seems to help with my slice since I do have an over the top move that produces the slice with most drivers. I find the RBZ very forgiving but was wondering if jumpin up to the R1 would improve say my upright lie and maybe add loft. Preferably I think I would benefit from say a 11 degree loft and 2 degrees upright on he driver. I hit the R1 at The PGASS today and had the salesman click on upright lie and was consistently hitting it 233 with no signs of a slice did smack a nice one down the middle at a 235. So anyone who has used both please chime in. Is it an upgrade and can the R1 be changed to 11-11.5 loft and have an upright lie?

Yes I have played around with the settings and found one I liked he results with. I had the R1 set the same upright setting and got a few more yards and accuracy. I will bring my RBZ with me when I try the R1 again and have some fun with the settings. Was just curious of I was able to raise loft and lie at the same time.

I went to Golfsmith today to hit the R1. They had a bunch of Demos on sale so I played around in the simulator. I was not hitting it very well at GS as opposed to how I was hitting it at PGASS. I played with the settings a bunch at GS. I really couldn't get comfortable. Most likely my swing but I didn't like how the hitting bay was aimed and felt very uncomfortable and my slice was out in full force. I was using the 10.5u setting.
