After reading about the So Cal TST golf outing I got thinking it would be neat to maybe do one in Florida. I mentioned it to David in Fla and he agreed it would be cool, depending of course on how much interest there is. Strictly preliminary thoughts are early June in the Orlando area, (Orange County National?). So, is anybody interested?

Yep, I'd like that.  Orlando is pretty central (especially for me ;-) ).  I'd be happy to do the leg work in setting up times.

Can't do early June though due to a planned family vacation.  Let's work it out though.

Would be VERY cool if we could get @iacas down here too.  A long ways for @mvmac to come, but.......

In David's bag....

I'd be interested, depending on the schedule of course.  And David would have to get his buddy Graeme to come, too.

If I remember, there's some little tournament he's likely to be playing in right around that time.  Of course, he'd probably change his plans for an opportunity to play with us!

Will be back in Florida from 7-17 october with some Dutch guys again. Sure to battle David and his friends, but a match against other TST members would also be a blast.

I'm putting it on the calendar Frank!

Any idea who else will be coming this year yet?

thanks a lot for volunteering to do the leg work buddy :-D. About the only time I can't do it, is the first weekend in June, that's our big trade show in Orlando. Other than that, I'm pretty flexible.

I would be interested - as long as no one is offended by niblicks and a long putter in the bag, Loudmouth clothing, cigars and beer.

The only non-preferred time would be the second Saturday of any month - that's when our tourneys are.

I wouldn't be!  Of course, you may get a quick new nickname.  I wore a purple sweater once, and now I'm Barney.  So be careful!

Whew! I was afraid I'd be the only one dressed like that.

Ok,

A bit late to the party, but it would be great to play a match again like last year.

Good memories and hopefully a better score this year.

Also had a great time at Bella Colina.

Cheers,

Ronald

    • Taking your dispersion and distance in consideration I analyzed the 4 posible ways to play the hole, or at least the ones that were listed here. I took the brown grass on the left as fescue were you need to punch out sideways to the fairway and rigth of the car path to be fescue too.  Driver "going for the green"  You have to aim more rigth, to the bunker in order to center your shotzone in between the fescue.  Wood of 240 over the bunkers I already like this one more for you. More room to land between the fescue. Balls in the fescue 11% down from 30% with driver. Improve of score from 4.55 to 4.40. 4 iron 210 yards besides the bunkers.    Also a wide area and your shot zone is better than previous ones. This makes almost the fescue dissapear. You really need to hit a bad one (sometimes shit happens). Because of that and only having 120 yards in this is the best choice so far. Down to 4.32 from 4.40. Finally the 6 Iron 180 yards to avoid all trouble.    Wide area an narrow dispersion for almost been in the fairway all the time. Similar than the previous one but 25 yards farther for the hole to avoid been in the bunkers. Average remains the same, 4.33 to 4.32.  Conclusion is easy. Either your 4iron or 6 iron of the tee are equaly good for you. Glad that you made par!
