No separate lines??  What about when they line the little "boys and girls" up to go down for a bathroom break?

And folks wonder why America is no longer a traditional superpower? I am ashamed to be a part of this new-age, "progressive" generation.

What is wrong with people?

Dunno how old you are but the good news is that new age progressivism is actually being proliferated by 60-something hippies. The millenials, who are struggling in this economy, recognize that institutional racism is dead, and are frankly tiring of all the ridiculousness, are not progressives. That group trends libertarian. So, the future is looking brighter. Just gotta fight through it a bit longer. Hang in there...

Yes I agree. Most of this social change is driven by older folks that lean left on the political spectrum. The problem is that a lot of younger people tend to align with those initiatives because it's easier than thinking for themselves (based strictly on my own observation/experience).

I'd be more careful about making broad sweeping generalizations like this. Most people grow up with the values instilled in them as they were raised, regardless of what side of the spectrum they stand on.

True, social behavior is a learned trait.

Please see statement in bold....not a sweeping generalization.

That's partially true.  Kids that grow up in conservative households become more liberal in their views due to exposure to liberal minded colleges and 3 out of 4 of the major networks that lean left.   As people get older they tend to become more conservative at least with their social views.

In the grand scope of things, it's a who cares.  If teachers can avoid upsetting a child by splitting up the class on what their favorite color or drink is, why does it matter?

IMO, the schools are avoiding the real issues regarding transgender acceptance when it comes to sports and bathrooms.  What happens when a boy who identifies himself as a girl decides to try out for the girls softball, basketball or field hockey team?

You're right, there are many who are takers, followers, etc. However, it seems that an increasing majority are shunning their prof's liberalism and beginning to again value old-fashioned self-reliance, I think due in large measure to their recognition that liberalism simply doesn't work. They're seeing it first-hand from the economy, to the idiocracy of the article here, to kids being limited to 1 packet of ketchup as a gov't mandate, to the health care disaster which directly and adversely impacts them, and on and on. The future is brighter than it's been in some time.

When I went back to college a couple of years ago I was surprised at the extent the progressive agenda was incorporated into textbooks and course literature. I knew it was bad but never expected what I saw. Even in courses that should be totally non-political (like a course on the Microsoft Office programs) were filled with stories that fit that agenda.

After about the first week I told somebody that I thought it would be very hard for a young person to go to college these days and not be brainwashed by the constant subtle and not so subtle bombardment of liberalism.

It's ironic since most universities are dependent upon the generosity of their wealthy alumni who happen to be the same people they trash within their standard curriculum for being the "evil rich".

    • Day 211 (29 Nov 24) - Friday men’s round albeit a solo foursome (temps in the 40’s, day after Thanksgiving and the average age closer to 75 - I’m a youngster at 65).  Interesting day of semi-solid play (8 of 18 GIR). Hit all four par threes in one (a first) - parred each; still had a couple 3 putt bogies; and blew up on 3 of the par 5’s (go figure)). The blow ups were some serious tree rattlers - amplifying how I got stupid and greedy instead of smart and content to just get back in the short stuff.
    • Day 60 - 2024-11-29 Got about 3.5' of snow today, so I was going to go to Golf Evolution, but… I only left the house to throw some snow. Instead, i checked out my putting stroke on HackMotion in the basement. Turns out… it's pretty good, and I'm very in touch with what I'm doing.
