I currently have a Taylormade 3wood R11s X-Stiff Fujikura 70g that I can hit from 240-260yds with complete control.  I wanted to buy a R11s 10.5 driver with the same shaft but can't seem to find that combo.

Any ideas on what to move into to match the 3 wood setup, new or used?  Prefer the R11s if possible.

Thanks,

Murf

Welcome to the site!

You can check on http://www.taylormadegolfpreowned.com/, ebay, 3balls.com and globalgolf.com for used clubs that fit your exact specs.

I think you might have a tough time finding one configured exactly how you want since you're looking for a specific x-stiff shaft, I have no idea how popular that combination was.  The easiest but most expensive way would probably be to buy the head on eBay and put an aftermarket shaft in.

    •     I appreciate the concern. Maybe I'm not describing it correctly, but I don't think it's as bad as you guys seem to. My finger isn't still swollen like from a fresh sprain, it's more like I banged up the actual bone and there's a bump on it. I'll have to see if there's somewhere I can get it checked out that's not going to charge me an arm and a leg. Thanks for the compliment. Actually if there's one other thing I wanted to address, it's how I move my head and torso away from the target in the backswing. I shift everything forward in the downswing, but the extra movement is undesirable and leads to inconsistencies.
    • Key #1 is not about the head, really, it's about the pivot. You could keep your head locked still in a vice and still make an improper pivot. The hips shifting back are a Key #1/#2 issue. The reverse axis tilt puts it more, IMO, toward Key #1.
    • Erik, thanks for taking a look at my most recent update! When you say you dont agree on Key #1 stuff, that means that my head is still moving too much, correct?  I also didnt realize my hips were shifting back as much as they are. I think the feeling of turning my back right pocket towards the target should help minimize some of that shift back. Seeing where you have drawn lines on my swing will also help me know what to look for in future video reviews on my own. I am going to rewatch the videos in the 5SK Video Thread and start from there, specifically focusing on key #1.
    • I think he either MCs or makes the cut but isn't a factor on the weekend. This is an extremely tough course, and he has to drive it really well to contend. I'm not sure he's at that point yet. I hope he surprises me, though.
    • welp..  what can I say? the numbers don't lie.    For what it's worth @iacas, I didn't actually call anyone a name.     It just seems odd.  The numbers suggest that we are watching the same game as we were 25 years ago, just 30 yards longer off the tee.   But my eyes tell me I am watching something very different.   I suppose that is just a matter of perception, though.   Today I see DJ, and Justin Thomas and other big hitters taking these huge vicious hacks with the Driver.  Whereas, in the 90's even the bigger hitters like Fred Couples, Davis Love, and Vijay appeared to have a much more controlled swing.   Only Daly seemed to be swinging the way big hitters do today, and we all know how wildly inconsistent he could be.   but, again, that is all alot of 'seems like and 'feels like' perception.  Different players, different swings.   I do have a question as it relates to that, though.  And I honestly have no idea what the answer is.   Is the added 30 yards off the tee attributed solely to equipment and balls, or are players today generating a great deal more clubhead speed?  is this something we know?  are there even clubhead speed statistics available from the '90's?
